Not in all states. In Texas, no NP is required to convey a title.

If a handwriting expert finds that the victim signed the bill of sale then title transferred if it was dated before before the day of the crime. If it was signed in the commission of the crime then title did not pass.

Inmates can buy stuff if they have money on the books.

The man who murdered them for the truck and forged a bill of sale has no right to it. What good will it do him in prison anyway? The next of kin of the murdered couple should get it.

That's no crazier than the man who broke into a warehouse through the skylight, fell and was injured, sued the owner of the warehouse for $250,000 and WON!
