Maybe Obama was just trying to have fun too by continually addressing Senator McCain as John.

Maybe at the next debate McCain can have fun by addressing Obama by his middle name.:saint:

Obama is running for President.

The U.S. is already negotiating with Iran behind the scenes.

Obviously Obama is talking about going to meet with hostile leaders himself as President.

If you are correct then apparently Obama doesn't know this - then he has hardly passed the commander-in-chief test.

 

Even Chris Matthews said McCain won the debate. And Noreen O'Donnell was slamming her fist into the table, saying the GOP is already splicing the tapes together, where Obama keeps saying "John is right", "I agree with John" for McCain's next pitch ad.......

The MessNBCers all had pistols against their temples, last nite. I don't see how anyone could say Obama won.

You are simply choosing to ignore Kissinger's later clarification in order to hold on to your mistaken beliefs.

I don't know which horse you are backing this race but this paragraph from your source attests to the lack of value to this particular poll.

"The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey is not a measurement of the views of all Americans, since only people who watched the debate were questioned and the audience included more Democrats than Republicans."

Well, start hanging around 60's radical criminals, get yerself a hatewhitey mentor, plagiarize a few vapid speeches, promise one thing and do another, spout off populist inanities, and say "change" a lot, and finally, convince everyone who criticizes you that they're racist.

 

In that case it is even worse for Obama than his lack of a significant lead in the polls would suggest.

If he is not 10 points ahead of McCain in the polls then he apparently hasn't successfully sold himself to even the Democrats.

I watched the whole debate. Both candidates did well. Then I remembered that one of the candidates represent a belief that says it is alright to murder children. I just do not understand how anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is Lord, can support such a candidate. [questioning the salvation of other posters deleted]. I will pray for them.

 

Actually, it was an easy guess since I say very little about that kind of stuff.

But if you are good, are you good enough to admit you were wrong? Or will you continue down the path you are going?

 

You and I both know that we can site polls, blogs, opinion pieces and the like which will back our assertions. The only one that will matter is this November. :wavey:

 

I think the same way! My review is that Obama is without any substance and really not that good of a speaker. I think someone along the way said he was a good speaker so a lot of people just keep repeating it. He doesn't say anything concrete but uses a lot of generic "feel good" phrases. It's really easy to say we're going to have "change" but what "change" would we actually have with Obama? Nothing good that I can forsee and a whole lot of the typical Democratic agenda which wouldn't be good for America!

These days we live in a society consumed with a lust for "flash" and "feel good" words - even in church - so maybe it's all a lot of people know to look for. Maybe it's because a lot of the comments you hear come from the media and they are all about "flash". That's what they sell in the place of news and information. They can take just about any subject and work it up into a mega story to keep you glued to the television.

I'm once again convinced that the debate process isn't worth the time to watch because there's no real information exchanged. It's just a bunch of "tit for tat" swipes between two candidates. I think the days of the Federalist and Anti-Federal papers have long past - there's nothing of substance being debated these days. The comfort is to know that a lot of people who don't say much but think a lot will actually end up going to the polls to vote.

Does anyone have a link to a full transcript of the "debate"? Is it worth publishing?
