    Who's MORE 'stuck up?

    Non-Calvinists who believe THEY were able to decide, through Free Will, to follow Christ as Savior?

    Calvinists who think God preordained THEM, out of billions of people, as one of the chosen for salvation?

    Group A. The reason Group B is disqualified from being 'stuck up' is because election is unconditional. There was nothing good in me that caused God to elect me. That eliminates a prideful 'I got chosen and you didn't- nya nya' type of feeling.

    Unfortunately when we get down to brass tacks that isn't the case. If you are correct, it SHOULD eliminate prideful feelings. But in the real world, with prideful people, it doesn't.

    As for the OP...I will keep my opinion to myself. I have been accused of being stuck up by many of those who are under me. :cool:

    How is this beneficial? How does this further the conversation about theology rather than personality?

    Larry...what do you think of my suggestion on that other post to stick the 629 verses on Calvinism? I think it's good.

    Well the word MORE was to bring out some jovial replies since this forum is getting sort of hatefilled again.

    Perhaps this is why your theology is so messed up on this issue. YOu think it is made of personalities. Theology is about revelation, not personality. Whether or not someone might be "stuck up" is irrelevant to theology. Theology is about what God said.

    Yeh Larry, so who do you think writes the theological books? God? get real, when we quote Dabney, Wesley, Hodge, etc, we are quoting the works of real human persons. Or did you now know that?

    Hi Larry;
    You're only half right. Theology is about what God said, but it is also about the change that happens in us through Salvation. Salvation if real, changes us personally. Those who are so full of hate are not saved.
    May Christ Shine His Light On us All;

    Theology is about the change that happens in us. That is the result of God's work in our lives. Theology is the study of God as he has revealed imself to us.

    People full of hate are probably not saved. But that's not really teh point. To try to make this issue about who is stuck up and who is not is to change it to a matter of personality. Truth is truth, even if the person who speaks it is stuck up.
