    I posted this elsewhere, but no replies.

    Who is the author of this statement: NO GOOGLING!

    "Long my imprisoned spirit lay
    fast bound in sin and nature's night
    Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
    I awoke; the dungeon flamed with light;

    My chains fell off; my heart was free
    I rose, went forth, and followed thee."

    That's exactly right! And now for my alterior motive:

    "Mr. Wesley, you are preaching my Calvinism"

    I often found that Arminians sound like Calvinists to a certain point, but when ask to systematize they revert to their Arminian stance.

    What I find is humurous is that BOTH Calvinists and Arminians sound so very similar to each other until they are confronted with their respectively apparent similarities. Then they vehemently deny such similarities!

    I have a solution to this centuries old dilema (sp). But typically they BOTH do not like it!

    Ha ha ha!

    No one posted the hymn. It is And Can It Be.

    I always noticed that myself.
    Some of the best calvinistic hymns are Wesley hymns.
