    From the O.P.:
I doubt many (10%+) say that. Maybe a few (1/10 of 1% or less) say that.

I don't believe any significant number of world cultures match on this thing.

Acts 1:6 ""It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority."

The 22nd will be our 33rd wedding anniversary. Wow what a great time that will be for a second honeymoon. (Hey, Honey can we book Cancun?)

Another fine example of your faulty exegesis and adding to the Word of God.

    For example

The correct quote, using your king james version is

Why add to the Word of God?

Second the context is that Peter was speaking to people who had already repented, the elect, ( read your king james version.)
He is still addressing them ( 8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
    9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The us-ward is the elect. There were many elect who had not even been born yet as of the writing of the letter. They had to be born and hear the Gospel before the Lord could return.... as He is not willing that any of them would perish. John 6:39. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

That is correct context. That is expository teaching.

Of course you and diggin are two peas in a pod........ so what else could I expect?
