Why did God choose Able?

    That's how and why I believe them to be twins. Read it carefully. Eve conceived one time, according to verse one, here.

    But she bore two sons. The first one she named, literally, "Gotten". That is what Cain means.

    Also, from what I've read in places, although I admit not knowing any Hebrew, her exclamation about Cain, is rendered literally, "I have gotten a man, (even)- the LORD!" That is why I said what I did.

    Surely, she had to have been aware of the promise, in order to make this statement, and the subsequent statement about Seth, in Gen. 4:25.
