Why government worker unions should not exist...

    I don't want tax payer money that I worked for and earned going to unions that promote the union agenda. When your pay has nothing to do with my pay then it is a whole different story. In the mean time where the money goes, that I labor for is of importance to me. And when that money goes to an anti-God and anti-American source then I will speak against it. Do away with unnecessary government unions and then there is no problem.

    Assuming you have a scab job are you getting more or less than union scale?

    One, your use of contemptuous language for non-union folks gives away your bias.

    Two, you've not bothered to deal with ANY of the seven specific points I enumerated. With regards to issue-based discussion, you're getting obliterated here.

    Three, what on earth does a union contract have to do with anything? The employer offered, I accepted, not your concern, case closed.

    OK, so (among other negative consequences) union issues drive costs of living skyward...yet billwald still doesn't get it.

    Oh, want to repost this disclaimer: I'm not a fan of unions at all...but if they want to form in the private sector, then fine (just don't go giving them a leg up on their competition through judicial & legislative means). I don't like them, but that's not a good basis for outlawing something.

    It's PUBLIC unions that I think ought to be against the law. And I think I've made several good justifications for such.

    Why is RBELL afraid or ashamed to state where he works or what he is paid? For all we know, he is an oil company executive.

    Speaking of scab labor - how is that house going that you are building?

    You never did explain why you are using scabs instead of union construction labor.

    Oh wait... you did. You have too pay too much for union labor. :laugh:

    Funny ain't it. Billwald hires scabs when it is time for him to pay the wages. :laugh:

    I see your point, but I don't see the "arrogance" you refer to, just another point of view.

    You "police officer" argument is a poor one to make your point. Policemen are paid by the public as are all government employees. Why would the truth make them so angry?

    But Idoagree with you that once they are paid, it's their miney to do with what they please. The only quesion to me is ...are any of them "required" to pay union dues.

    I work in the state of East Dakota.

    But your dues that public sector unions collect are directly going to an organization that is bankrupting out states and our nation. They are bodies that are often corrupt, and their purpose is to separate taxpayers from more of their money.

    Your tithe is your free expression of religious thought and freedom. Constitutionally guaranteed.

    Collective bargaining via government unions is a different matter.
