He is probably better off taking the hit for not going than doing that.

At least Obama agrees with other "world leaders" that this crisis should be used to increase police powers and reduce everyone's "right" to free speech on the internet.

Obama is going to have a big meeting next month to decide how to best go about it.

That should count for something. Right?

And the FOX News cycle continues. This is about the stupidest excuse for a news story that they've gotten stuck on for a while.

They should go back to Benghazi. At least it was a story.

No one cares. Obama didn't go to the French march. Big deal. Next story.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino blasted President Obama’s decision to blame security concerns for his decision not to attend an anti-terrorism rally in Paris.

The White House blamed security concerns for Obama’s decision not to attend the “March Of Unity” in Paris after a deadly Islamic terrorist attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris. The Secret Service said that it was never asked to prepare for a presidential visit to Paris.

Bongino, who served in the Secret Service under presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama before galvanizing conservative voters with recent Maryland Senate and congressional runs, told The Daily Caller that Obama blamed the Service because he knew they couldn’t fight back against him in the press.

“He knows there’s nothing the Secret Service can say. They don’t want to hurt the relationship so as a matter of decorum they can’t say anything,” Bongino said. “I imagine what they’re really thinking is, ‘Is this guy serious?’ It’s not an easy job. After the fence-jumper, morale’s not great over there now, but he still says something that is so obviously not true.”

“Just look at the Mandela funeral which was geometrically worse when it comes to threat and he went to that because he wanted to go. If the president wants to go he goes. The Secret Service doesn’t tell him he can’t go. That’s only in movies.”

Perhaps he remembers what happened during the Mandela funeral. Sign-gate anyone?

But then again, who cares? Like the guy said, if he wanted to go, he could have gone. He probably didn't go because all the folks there were just a bunch of talkers who never do anything.

Shoot at least he's taken action against some of the terrorist.

This is nothing more than a FOX News attempt to make a story out of nothing.

They'll just add it to the overall theme.

"Islam = death so give more money, power and control to the government and keep funding and arming the foreign Islamic rebels fighting against evil oppressive regimes for their freedom."

Could be that Obama is still ticked off at French President Hollande for pointing out in public that Obama, NATO and the western corporate media have been lying about Putin and Ukraine and said the sanctions against Russia must stop.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/06/world/europe/francois-hollande-says-destabilizing-sanctions-on-russia-must-stop-now.html?_r=0

He openly contradicted the anti Russian narrative Washington, NATO and the western press has pushed hard for months without evidence to support their allegations as I have been pointing out on this board for about the same amount of time.

Like George Orwell said . . . "In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act."

Hollande publicly stepped out of line with Washington's foreign policy interests. That's a very big no no. I don't think the western power elites are going to be treating him like a "good ole boy" after he just called them all liars and thieves in front of the whole world.

He was a bad boy. France even voted with the Palestinians. Talk about an unforgivable sin!

Now we'll see if Hollande starts towing Washington's line like a good boy after the terrorist attack in Paris.
