Why We Need a Stimulus Plan

He appearently didn't compromise since the GOP all voted it down.

There is waste in the bill and Obama knows it. I am disappointed the GOP didn't focus on just removing the waste because that would have put the Dems in a bad position. Because they showed up today with an entirely new proposal then voted unanimously against the proposed plan smells of business as usual and I think 2010 will prove another difficult election for the GOP.

 

Obama was willing, but Republicans refused to compromise for once.

This abomination of a spending bill now belongs solely to democrats.

Obama has been working on this legislation all week and his approval rating has gone up 5%. I think if you took off your GOP colored glasses you would see it's a new day dawning.

 

Because reality is irrelevant??? Where that might be an amusing clip it is the clip that has deemed reality irrelevant. Obama ratings are reality since he is at the wheel.

You said they were voted in to have pass all these dumb bills. I proved he was voted in because of a lack of knowing anything at all about him which disproves your statement. I keep having to explain 2+2=4. It is getting old.

 

Yup...we have moved from a Constitutional republic to a democracy. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.

When the majority of Americans are on the public dole, we will have reached a point of no return...because they will have figured out how to get money for themselves.

Don't forget this is the same majority (or actually less of one) that wanted to go into Iraq.

The more we find out the worse this seems. If 26billion is enough for this year, why not vote on the other 796 billion next year?

 

Because it is not really about stimulating the economy. It is about pushing through all the little pet projects if libs while they have some sort of excuse. Calling it a stimulus is a lie. And the Dems are going to own its failure.

 

Obama's only significant "reform" of SS will be to increase taxes.

He's a liberal. That's always a part of every plan.

 

Just give us what we (and our employers) have paid in social security tax and we'll handle my own reform. People can and should manage their own finances. If they waste it let it be their own problem. Most would waste far less than the government does.

Haven't the government schools been successful at teaching them how to do this over the last several generations?

 

This is indeed the root of the problem and we even take note of it right here among us.

 

Amove is underway right now by democrats to increase the number of people on the dole by shrinking the tax base even further from it's current 62%.

 

The only stimulus plan we need is an across the board tax cut!:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
