If it was directed at "no one", why post it at all? It seemed to me that the article was directed at anyone whose fears might be aroused concerning what Obama might do after he was inaugurated.

Unnecessary, maybe. Unfounded, hardly. Your extensive record of posting articles here precedes you. However, I would like to compliment you on the articles you posted in the thread on liberal bias in the media. Those were far above your usual fare. I even bookmarked one of those sites for future use.

I'll be happy to admit to my speculations if you will admit to yours. Also, I fully expect to have some criticisms for Obama just as I had for Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, and Johnson. But I will limit my criticisms of Obama to actions that he actually performs as President as opposed to fears about what he might do. You and the other pre-inauguration critics are hoping to sour as many people as possible on his presidency before he actually becomes president. You may not like it, but I and the few other dissenting voices here are not going to stand idly by while you try to do it.

Funny to hear this. When I post well researched, sourced, and linked material that addresses issues concerning President-elect Obama point by point no one even attempts to refute the data provided or the conclusions drawn. See the threads, "President-elect Obama Marxist?", "How are we to determine...", or my current one about the failed socialist experiment in the U.K. All that ever happens is that some pro-Obama posters wade in and try to mis-direct and derail the discussion or simply throw out nonsensical personal attacks.

The attacks on rev mitchel is disgusting. Those of you who call yourselves Christians should be ashamed and apologize.

My opinion of him, if you want to call it an attack stands. I have seen him skew articles and his opinion and push it as fact vers opinion.

That being said, I am and still will be the very Christian I am, one which God is proud of I hope.

Just because I don't like a way a person posts, or skews threads doesn't even begin to define me as a Christian. That is another attempt by some people to combine those two points so either you're for us or against us argument. One can disagree, and point out that disagreement with other and still be a Christian.

You have decided to make this claim in an open forum, a Christian one at that.

Biblical principles require you to back it up or shut up.

HSLDA Oppose the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

After years of debate within the international community, child’s rights activists reached an agreement in 1988 which created a comprehensive charter advancing the agenda of the children’s “liberation” movement. What the child’s rights advocates have for over two decades been unable to accomplish through the normal legislative process, may now be realized in one sweeping blow.

If ratified by the U.S. Senate, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child would undermine families by granting to children a list of radical “rights” which would be primarily enforced against the parents. These new “fundamental” rights would include “the right to privacy,” “the right to freedom of thought and association,” and the right to “freedom of expression.” Such presumptions subvert the authority of parents to exercise important responsibilities toward their children. Under the UN Convention, parental responsibility exists only in so far as parents are willing to further the independent choices of the child.

Any such organization that would push for this should not be supported by the US in any manner. This is just one more reason why we should pull out of UN. And Obama and the Dems should be watched very carefully on this that it does not become a ryder on another bill.

I will do neither... I will continue to call it as I see it. If the article reaks of untruth, then I will call the poster on it.

Mark has posted this type of tripe for well over a month now and Obama isn't even in office. When Obama gets in office, then we can debate on what he is doing... until then, it's just a matter of people's opinion...

As we see Obama has a plan to send this to the Senate. He whole heartedly supports this.

Dicsussion and disagreement is one thing, but to attack the man is unchristian, and you know it. You wrote, "You know Tim, you're not suppose to actually read the article. You're only suppose to take the good "Reverent" at his word when he posts something."

This, in MY opinion, amounts to ridiculing a man of God...and that does not honor God or is something He would be proud of.
