On another thread, a gent said there won't be any "millenium", despite Scripture's PROVING there will be. I shall now post those Scriptures:

Rev. 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Remember, this is after Jesus has returned.

I don't see how that gent can deny there'll be a "millenium" in the face of those Scriptures. Other Readers, what are YOUR thoughts & opinions? Please note the verses surrounding those I posted. The gent who posted the denial is welcome also.

It has been going on since the cross.
It is still growing like the mustard seed

He is ruling from Heaven with a rod of Iron rule.
The Kingdom is growing worldwide as promised.
He rules in the MIDST of His enemies until the last day.. 1cor15.

The context of Rev 20 is the reward those saints beheaded during the tribulation will receive. They reign “with” Jesus for 1000 years.

Jesus’s reign is eternal. The passage says nothing about reigning on earth.

    peace to you

Well, actually, Revelation DOES. At the end of the millenium, Satan is freed from the abyss & organizes an EARTHLY attack upon the camp pf the saints, where, of course, Jesus is. (Remember, the saints will reign WITH JESUS.)

Rev. 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city.

You're not making any sense. If He's already ruling with a rod of iron, why is sin so prevalent ??????????

Do you have a streak of preterism?

    His enemies sin everyday.
That is why it says He riles in the midst of His enemies.
Not one sin is going to go unpunished.

In your idea....how does the rod of Iron rule work? Sinners are going to be in your millennium...what happens when they sin

It's not MY mil...it's THE mil, which will definitely occur, or Scripture is wrong.

Jesus will deal swiftly with it, with some sorta punishment short of death. But I think you know that "ruling with a rod of iron" means no disobedience will be tolerated.

Everyone will be under discipline 24/7...
So like angels will tazer them? Or perhaps scourge them?
Do angels just appear suddenly like the taliban and stamp out evil thoughts?
    Foul speech? Lustful looks?

John does not write in chronological order. He writes in repeated themes giving more details in each section.

    peace to you

Once again you cannot answer a simple question.
You want to say what cannot happen and yet you cannot answer anything.
Just make something up like you do most of the time.

    Yes.
The sun will also shine 7 times brighter than it does now, and midnight will be as noon ( Isaiah 30:19-26 ).
    Have you read Revelation 19?

The armies of His people that are in Heaven follow Him on white horses when He comes again.
They will rule and reign with Him 1,000 years.

He won't need angels to help, as He will have all authority.
That is what the rod of iron is for...
To rule those who are disobedient.

He won't stamp out the evil thoughts, but He will punish the evil that men do.
He will even penalize the people who refuse to honor Him on His throne by withholding the rain from them.
The rule of His law, Tony.
He will have all power on earth, to know thoughts and to punish wickedness.

It will be the theocracy that Israel was prophesied to have and to be part of.
As in other threads where this was shown to you, He will rule from Jerusalem on the throne of His father David.
Read Zechariah 10 through Zechariah 14 again.
Then Micah 4 and parts of Isaiah ( Isaiah 2, for starters ) and Jeremiah.

I think you've missed the parts that have yet to be fulfilled.
It is all spelled out in the Scriptures. ;)

The Bible speaks of a Messianic rule on earth which is yet future. It comes back down to what exactly is the New Covenant and does God actually keep His promises or does He change His mind due to a lack of what the A-mills think is a lack of patience.

The Q you asked is equivalent to asking, "What team's gonna win the 2021 World Series?"

So, I made up the Scriptures I posted, eh? Where would we be without your ginormous erudition?

I believe most of what he wrote about the coming of the beast & his empire, some of the plagues of the trib, the return of Jesus, & the events that follow are in chronological order. The fall of the 2nd Babylon, etc. are not in that order.
