Fortunately, the wolves have the speed to avoid the brute power of the grizzlies. :)

Of course even the fleet of foot can trip on uneven terrain, then it would be lunch time for the bear.

I don't know about that. I've watched my ball chasing/catching Sheltie, Gracie, trip and roll over and come up still in stride.

Don't know about that. Especially in NJ!

    http://www.worldscutestanimals.com/index.php/2008/08/26/puppy-scares-off-bear-cubs/

Here, the score was Puppy -1, Three Bears -0.

    http://video.aol.com/video-detail/kitty-scares-bear/3824561554/?icid=VIDURVNWS02

Here it was Kitty 1, Bear 0.

Wonder if this is the same adult bear???

I don't know if this is due to bears being less aggressive, in NJ, or the fact that dogs and cats in NJ have NJ NIMBY!@ attitudes? ;)

@ - NIMBY is the acronym for "Not In My Back Yard!"

Bring some of them puppies out here & chase some REAL bear.

A grizzly bear would turn poochie into a hockey puck.

    Cool pics.
