I think the last four options would apply to either a yes/no in all of the Christian life, not as a "role" in the church. For instance, I think women should avoid tight fitting, suggestive garments, but could not vote on that one since I think they should avoid them all the time, not just in church.

    Hi Pamela

Appearance choices such as pants, form fitting clothes (Note: I didn't say tight clothes or suggestive garmets) make up, hair, etc.. are 24/7. I assumed this but didn't make that clear.

    Blessings,

    Joe

OK then, Joe - thanks for clarifying.
And I just think "tight" when I think form-fitting, but you're right - others might not - didn't mean to put words in your mouth.

    Wow. 1 point...

So does this make me a 1 point feminist?

Or is that a 1 point chauvenist?

Hey, something new to discuss!!! Chauvenism vs. Feminism...

But we need an acronym like TULIP:
Any ideas on what the letters in TULIP of Chauvenism would stand for?

P could = Pants, the device from Hell

    Anymore?

Hey, I scored zero. What's that say? It says I'm male.

I would participate in the poll and post a reply explaining myself, but I am too busy doing most of those things that the poll says a woman should NOT do....
    .....sorry.

Wish you had made the "leads music" a 1 pointer rather than a 2 pointer. To me, it's the same level of concern.

As for women pastoring, last Sunday I was reminded one of our ladies has been pastoring for fifty one years. Mind you she's been pastoring the pre-K Sunday School class. But 51 years of setting the foundation for their later years is something to be recognized.

Well both scenereo's involve a woman with some level of authority over man. Maybe that is why you have the same level of concern?

IMHO, the bible instructs us women are forbidden to teach issues of spirituality and the bible to a man. But I have no knowledge of women being forbidden to teach men regarding matters of music. Or women teaching other women and children etc...
But you surely may be right, it might be comparable and should have been only 1 point.

The point system is, sadly, based upon the knowledge in my wee pee brain

I put the leading of songs in an organized service of a church on the par with the preaching. If one is a 1 then the other should be also.

Where is the "barefoot and pregnant" option?

I'm stuck at 8 without that option.

Not surprising coming from a guy whom, upon learning a poster endured physical abuse, including bruising all over his body, inflicted by his own father, replied with "His father has more sense than he, and he should start listening to him"

    It's getting old

I am a one pointer. The only Scriptural reference is for a woman not to be a pastor.
