Workers' Memorial Day was established about 1989 as an observation in remberance of co-workers who have died on the job. This day is to remember those who have been injured or lost their lives on the job and to promote safety in our workplaces.

The American flag was lowered to half-staff for 24 hours and a brief moment of silence was observed during each shift.

People were asked to take the time to remember what is really important--our safety and the safety of our families and co-workers.

Workers' Memorial Day is on April 28.
