Here is my reply--you are under an ungodly, anti-scriptural government. You can say all you want, but actions speak. You and the Roman Cult disregard the authority of God's Word and have put together an unbiblical ecclesiastical system.

Yes, I am looking at the written word which YOU gave as support for your belief. Are you saying Jesus personally spoke this belief to you?

You folks claim Scripture teaches that it is the Final and Only Authority.

You have the easy job of putting up the verse. That is all there is to it.

Whining about what I believe makes no difference.

Question: Did Christ Expect His contemporaries to be following the Scriptures? To what Degree? 10%, 50%, 100% of them, 10% 50% 100% of the time?

Jesus NEVER used any authority when confronting Satan and Pharisees apart from the word of God! 2 Timothy 3:16-17

If Scripture is not the Final Authority then how would any verse convince you? It wouldn't, would it? Just like when I tried to convince you from Scripture how a person who rejected Jesus Christ as the Son of God would be condemned to hell and you simply rejected the scripture. You have bought into the false doctrine that the RCC is the word of God, no matter what has been written in the bible by any Apostles of Christ. So you are asking for something that you would never accept even if it said it exactly the way you want it to be said. It does not exist in your mind because the RCC has told you what you are to believe.

Nothing from those verses say anything about using the Bible Alone as the “Ultimate Authority or proving from the Bible alone any doctrines. Plus those verses say Epistle meaning only that book. Not the Bible alone because when this book was written where was no Canon of the Bible until 400 AD. So you are saying “Sola Thessalonins” or “Sola Colossians”.

Lets start with the basics. Does the bible teach that scripture is the final and only authority?

Or was this claim that there is a verse, a LIE?

Because it is toted as the #1 Rule, This is not a unreasonable question, YES OR NO.

Why do you fear to slap the truth down on table?

Is there a bible verse that spells out PLAINLY and CLEARLY that Scripture is the Final and Only authority?

Show me this verse RIGHT NOW.

We get instructions FROM scripture, we don't shove our FAKE IDEAS into it.

Has nothing to do with this debate. The Apostle's letters existed prior to any bible being composed of them. Anytime the Apostles taught doctrine it was accepted that what they taught was the word of God.

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

They HEARD it from the Church. I don't see the requirement of reading a book.

But let me RE-WRITE this one for you.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the WRITINGS of God which WHICH WE WROTE DOWN, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the WRITTINGS of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe

Even butchering the scripture, it still does not say SCRIPTURE is the FINAL and ONLY AUTHORITY.

God could write a note that says:

"Your Mother is the indisputable authority in permitting and omitting what is done. You must take out the trash"

According to your logic, The only thing you can do is take out the trash because that note is the ONLY and Final Authority.

Now look, I want people notice how we still are going in circles with a REFUSAL to give straight answer.

Is there a bible verse that spells out PLAINLY and CLEARLY that Scripture is the Final and Only authority?

Show me this verse RIGHT NOW.

There is a word called YES. Its three letters long and gives a affirmative.

Is there a bible verse that spells out PLAINLY and CLEARLY that Scripture is the Final and Only authority?

    Stop running around the question.

We believe the Latin Rite Christian Church because it has the correct interpretation and the correct doctrines precisely because of what the Scriptures say. For example, there are seven sacraments of the Christian way and they are all laid out clearly in the Scriptures, even though they are not referred to as such in the Holy Writ. You are the one who has deviated from the long time accepted true Word of God, not us.

Memo to Yeshua 1: Jesus was/is God. He was using His own words and His own authority when confronting others. Good grief!

Then how come we differ when interpreting what it says? You read into the Scriptures what you want, something which started with Luther. Until then, it was the Universal Church to which everyone looked to for the correct biblical interpretation. Even our Eastern orthodox brothers continued to believe in the orthodox interpretation of the Scriptures after the big split in the 11th century, just like the Latin Rite. It's you folks who went off the deep end with your new interpretation of things.

Argues that Scripture isn't the authority. Appeals to Scripture to support his argument.

In one account, Jesus tells the story of The Rich Man and Lazarus. The rich man dies and goes to hell, but asks that Lazarus be sent back to warn his brothers.

Abraham responded, "They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them."

Question: What does it mean, They have Moses and the prophets?

No, let's just let the word of God say what it says...which ye heard of US...the APOSTLES.

So when folks like Utilyan demand "Is there a bible verse that spells out PLAINLY and CLEARLY..." we could say the word of God being the Final Authority is laid out clearly in the Scriptures, even though it is not referred to as such in the Holy Writ.

You sure about that? What is the true Word of God according to you? Jesus Christ? The Apostles' writings? The Church?
