I was thinking the same thing this morning when all I heard was a quote from somewhere on the news that "we have to find a global solution for this global problem"... it gave me shivers...

Been thinking about those prophecies, too. But I remind myself of what Jesus said about birth pains, and I'm reminded that these things could repeat over and over and get worse and, presumably, more frequent.

Whenever I hear someone speak about all the end-times prophecies coming to pass in our age, I'm reminded that we are one nuclear war away from getting set back another three thousand years on the prophecy timeline.

Don't mean for that to sound negative, just that we should be more cautious than, say, Jack Van Impe when he says the EU is definitely the 10-nation confederacy that will be ruled by the Anti-Christ. Might be, but then again the EU might change its name or disband and reform tomorrow.

No matter what happens in the near future, Christ is closer to his return than ever before! This certainly is an exciting time to be alive, isn't it?

I like your general thoughts. But this statement drew my curiosity even though I tend to avoid eschatology discussions.

What is it about a nuclear war that would set things back three thousand years on your prophecy timeline? Is a certain level of population or civilization required? Is it things like one world government/religion requirements?

I guess I should clarify that I intentionally do not have a prophecy timeline.

    Thanks. :)

I just meant that a nuclear war or something similar could throw all mankind back to the bronze age or something similar. The prophecies that people often site for proof that these are the end times, such as Israel becoming a nation again, the world-wide preaching of the gospel, the more frequent earth-quakes and other natural disasters, frequency of wars, and many others, could all be drastically changed or reversed with a cataclysmic event, man-made or otherwise. If severe enough, this event could destroy the majority of humanity and throw small remnants of survivors back to wandering deserts and wastelands with camels looking for water. Perhaps there would be no Israel, no mass communication, no electricity, no fast travel. Perhaps enormous problems with disease and starvation left only a few million, or even fewer people left on earth, with vast areas uninhabitable. I can even envision a generation losing knowledge of Christian history and perhaps Scripture as well, only to discover it again later through the providence of God...

I write fiction; forgive my far-fetched imagination. But I'm only giving an example that things can change. If things as world-changing as the Holocaust and the Black Death aren't even mentioned in prophecy, I can see a World War III type event not being mentioned either.

Then, I'd think, the prophetic timeline, if such a thing exists, could be set back, or started over.

Or maybe I've just seen too many sci-fi movies!

Thanks for the explanation. I like your lateral thinking. We can never have too much of that.

    "You saw it here first".

While mainstream corporate media lied to Americans claiming economy was strong, we were warning about a “global crash” and a faux solution of “predatory globalism” nearly two years in advance.

The global economic crisis and the centralization of power that would be implemented under the pretext of fixing it were predicted by this website as well as regular guests who appeared on The Alex Jones Show for the past three years-plus.

This compilation is not an attempt to blow our own trumpet and say “we told you so,” we were merely warning about the obvious consequences of what was unfolding as well as shining a light on what the elite were saying behind closed doors.

In this article, we predicted the continued devaluation of the U.S. dollar, which occurred over the course of the next 18 months and an eventual “global crash” that would lead to the implementation of measures of predatory globalism to “solve the crisis”.

As talking heads on corporate media networks were blissfully parroting each other in their mantra that the economy was doing great, we predicted a “Meltdown that the cavalier and dangerous financial policies of the U.S. government….will inevitably engender.”

The call for a centralized world system of financial control, which has now been proposed, was one of the measures of “predatory globalism” that we warned about nearly two years before the bubble burst.

In February 2006, we reported that the The UN demanded the creation of a $7 trillion body to enforce co-operation between countries, applied through six specific financial tools. The price? “An admission that the nation-state is an old-fashioned concept that has no role to play in a modern globalised world where financial markets have to be harnessed rather than simply condemned.”

The London Telegraph reported today that, “Opinion is now hardening around the case for a new global architecture to enforce rules that ensure lessons are learnt.”

Bilderberg member and recently appointed UK Business Secretary Peter Mandelson argued last week that new global solutions are needed because “the machinery of global economic governance barely exists”, adding: “It is time for a Bretton Woods for this century.”

Influential media giants like the Wall Street Journal are pushing a “new world order” to solve the crisis, while British Prime Minister Gordon Brown called for a “a new global financial order” to supersede the institutions created after World War II.

The elite were waiting to burst the bubble so they could implement the process of global centralization of banking power that they had planned all along.

    Article Continues Here.

Order out of chaos aka problem reaction solution.

This guy is really out of control. About an hour later he retracted this statement. I consider this to have been a really irresponsible statement. Something like yelling "FIRE" in a crowded auditorium.

Berlusconi Reverses Claim Leaders May Close World's Markets

    By Steve Scherer
    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aDFVOyQz19RI

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi reversed his comments that leaders are discussing closing the world's financial markets while they ``rewrite the rules of international finance.''

``I heard it on the radio,'' Berlusconi said about an hour after his initial comments his spokesman confirmed. ``The hypothesis wasn't put forward by any leader, including myself.''

I did not think this would happen until Messiah Came again. Is the Messiah among us now? When will he be revealed? Is Alex Jones the Messiah?

No but he tries to speak the truth "in a time of universal deceit" so that would make him a radical...to say the least. Besides Ed anybody could have seen this coming if they weren't so engrossed in the left vs right paradigm and what the mass media experts are selling, I mean reporting.

    He's Already Here???

That's right Ed, if Louis Farrakhan is to be believed, Obama is the Messiah, and he's just waiting to win the election, at which time he will be anointed and begin his rule

This is all the more reason for Obama supporters to not vote for him. Farrakhan has all but made this a race a religious thing, making the election of Obama a black liberation theology issue. This is pretty serious, and I have not heard much about this on the ads from McCain. One would think that McCain would take this declaration from the Nation of Islam and run with it through election day.

Obama is not Messiah material, and he should be denouncing Farrakhan and his statement, but he hasn't, and that could mean that he believes this himself.

As for the closing of the markets, and re-starting with something more Global in proportion, I predicted this very thing more than 15 years ago. I also said on this board about 5 months ago that many, if not all our banks were failing and that they would fail. I was slammed, and called a rumor nut case. Those that opposed my accusation stated that there was no way our banking system could fail. Enough said.....but, the coming together of the EU and the NAU is looking more and more like the only way the West can stand up to China and Russia in the days to come. We will part of the last 10 nations mentioned in prophesy, don't know exactly how, but I believe it will be our fate.

The clock is rapidly moving toward the Battle of Armageddon, and the return of Jesus. I know most feel I'm wrong, but I hold strong on the idea that the church will not be taken in the Rapture until the 3-1/2 year point. Thus, the church needs to be ready, just in case. If I'm wrong, my family and friends of unbelievers can come to my home and live off our 3-1/2 years of food supplies, and pray for their last shot at salvation through confession and an immediate death as the result of that confession.

So be it....Shalom to you brothers and sisters,

    Pastor Paul:type:

P.S. Chessic: I don't believe anything will stop the Second Coming, nor will anything delay it. IMHO, Scripture and prophesy don't support such an event.

Bush Pledges Coordinated Response From World Leaders on Economic Crisis

After one of the worst weeks in the stock market's history, President Bush met foreign financial leaders today to hatch a plan to take on the international financial crisis. In a Rose Garden address following the meeting, Bush vowed to work together with world leaders to develop a unified response.

"All of us recognize that this is a serious global crisis and, therefore, requires a serious global response for the good of our people. We resolve to continue our strong efforts to return our economies to the path of stability and long-term growth," Bush said.

    <snip>

"As our nations confront challenges unique to our individual financial systems, we must continue to work collaboratively and ensure that our actions are coordinated," Bush said. "We must ensure the actions of one country do not contradict or undermine the actions of another. In our interconnected world, no nation will gain by driving down the fortunes of another. We're in this together. We will come through it together."

    ABC NEWS...

"For every global crisis there has to be a global response. Speaking of which we got this plan see, had it for a while see but us world leaders got together at a Bar-B-Que at "the Grove" and agreed that it's best to leave our people out of the loop cuz you just don't understand how important this is for us (being simple common people and all) see so we'll figure it all out for you and when it's time to pay up we'll let ya know."

    Signed; The International (NWO) Community.
    :saint:

In other words we're going to be integrated, harmonized and socialized (ripped off) for the common good. Anybody ready for a tea party yet?

Finance chiefs endorse G7 action plan: IMF panel

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Finance leaders from the International Monetary Fund's 185 member countries on Saturday endorsed a plan announced by major economies to chart a course out of the credit crisis.

The International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), chaired by Egyptian Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali, called for "exceptional vigilance, coordination, and readiness to take bold action" to address the crisis.
Boutros-Ghali said the fact that all 185 IMF member countries, including emerging and developing economies, supported the Group of Seven plan.

"We are committed to the plan of action," Boutros-Ghali said. "This is an essential element for restoring confidence."

    SOURCE...

Do we get to see "the plan"? So how do you all like global governance so far?

I've been short the stock market for over a year. First a mix with long positions and then all out short. Three years ago I called the housing crisis. I dropped the price of a house I put on the market Oct of 2006 by $50K within 3 month to move it. It finally sold after being on the market 9 Mo. which is a very short time these days.
