Hard to believe a child under 16 could get married in WV with a judges waiver. Sounds like a good addition to WV law.

Hypothetically, you currently could have a 30 year old man “marry” a 14 year old boy if a judge granted a waiver.

Not under the new law - a person under 18 cannot marry someone more than 4 years older (or 2 years - I forget which)

Two States -allow marriages at age 15! and there are some other exceptions as well.

In Utah, marriage age is 18, except a 16 year old may marry with parents permission
