There would have been no greater consequence in eating the fruit because Eve would have already sinned. </font>[/QUOTE]Irrelative point at that, the original sin was Adam letting Eve have the authoritive role in dealing with the adversary. The "first sin" was when lucifer led the rebellion against God and took 1/3 of the angels with him.

    It has all to do with authority when it comes to sinning: God is the Authority and everyone is a sinner that tries to have any authority over Him, hint, hint.

So when adding that God was "deceived" as in Psalm 78:36 in the nasv to the definition of flattery having a finality in action is sin? I would agree with your premise there, but I don't believe you are accurate in your thinking.
