    Got these from the Focus on the Family pastoral ministry email, thought they were good enough to share. Anyone have others they might want to add?

    ... you find yourself counting heads at a sporting event.
    ... you would rather talk to people with every eye closed and every head bowed.
    ... you had a dream that while you were speaking no one was listening, and then you realized it wasn’t a dream.
    ... you have a difficult time explaining to your kids just exactly what a pastor does.
    ... you're leading the church into the 21st century, but you don't know what you're preaching on Sunday.
    ... you've ever wanted to "lay hands" around a deacon's neck.

    .... if your wife regularly, in casual conversation, reminds you to "quiet your voice and calm down, you are not preaching a sermon..."

    YOu might be a pastor if your son goes to a football game and calls the bleachers, "pews"... (This one really happened)

    My three year old son doesn't sing the normal children's songs, his favorite things to sing are the theme song to the "Little Einsteins" and the Doxology... "A-a-a-a-me-e-enn..." I'm pretty sure that he thinks the rest of the world is very odd for not having a church in their backyard where they can go play the piano and stand at the alter pretending to preach to their little brother...

    Oh, he also asked me if he could have an organ for Christmas :) I'm right there with you :laugh:

    In some churches that would last a long time because the people seldom read their Bible.

    Ouch, that is more true a statement than I would care to admit... Although, the good part is that I get to enjoy the Bible smell for longer... which I would gladly give up to get people in the word.
