    My youngest sister (14) has been going to church with us for the last month. On her first sunday there with us, she went forward during the invitation to be reasurred of her salvation. She had gone up some time before that for invitation with my dad, but i guess she only went up because he did..but she did, and she was so happy, and each week the Lord is talking to her. We are praying that he will continue to work in her life, change her heart, and make her a strong young lady despite being in an ungodly home (my dad was saved but has not really started to grow..which we are also praying for..and my mother has no interest in the church or God's Word/commandments for living although she says she has her "own relationship with God), with ungodly friends...etc... My husband and I are just so thankful that we are able to take her with us each week, and that she is slowly seeing the difference between a life in the world and a life with Christ.

    MaMaCW, that is a beautiful blessing. Despite it seeming backwards, children can have an amazing influence on parents and a great motivation for staying on the right path. I'll pray that happens with your sister and your parents.

    We had several youth at our church get baptized recently.

    Also found out this morning that my boss will be getting baptized. Please pray for him and his wife.

    Reading my 17 year old son's facebook page I see a beautiful girl who he has been friends with since the 4th grade tell him "You are such a gentleman, I don't even believe I have ever heard you say a curse word."

    Made me think of the many wonderful attributes my children have and how amazing it is that these kids were raised by "ME"! (A wretched man who came to God at 35 and prayed hard that his children would live a better, happier and more upright life than he did.)

    Had a beautiful Easter, Mass and lunch with friends. Did not get to Vigil on Saturday night which is about 3 hours in length but perhaps next year God willing.

    Hope all on the Board have a holy and happy Easter.

    all these blessings!!!

    I am thrilled and thankful that my son and his wife are taking the "Growing Kids God's Way" class so that they can work together to raise their two sons in the nurture and admonition of the Lord!!!
