Hogwash. I don't believe I've called that thug a thug, until now. Even if I did, you are kind of lazy to write it off as racism. That way you get to be Al Sharpton, another lazy race-baiter. A sad joke, you are.

A BB search shows that I never called Trayvon a thug until just now.

So Zaac, you've now taken to telling lies as well as yelling "racist". I'm guessing you're just not worth talking to. For a guy who lies and name-calls, you sure do throw Christ's name around a lot.

You're kinda lazy to say that I called it racism when I have not.

I'm fine with being called a race baiter. I guess you're fine toowith it being pointed out that Whites have started using thug in place ofthe "n" word.

And in the words of another who said that Trayvon was a racist because of what he said. One has to wonder if he considers all those referring to Trayvon as a thug racists also?

    Discipline your children, for in that there is hope;
do not be a willing party to their death. Proverbs 19:18 Take heed parents lest you raise a thug.

8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a] you are doing right. 9 But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:8-10

Yet according to Scripture, you're guilty of the same things as the one you call a thug.

So take heed parents, that you don't let anyone make your child think that he's a somehow a different type sinner than they are.

Zaac, did you read post 11 of this thread? Do you disagree with its methodology or results? I have and agree with the data points presented. So, lay off the idea that "thug" is a code word used instead of the "N" word.

I think the court knows the DA presented a very weak case to convict him of murder 1, so they are allowing the possibilty of finding him guilty of lesser charges, just to save face.

I believe you are correct. They want him found guilty of something in hopes of keeping peace. The news and outsiders have tried to whip these people into a frenzy to find him guilty.

I think (at the risk of being called chauvinistic) that selecting an all-female jury pretty much guarantees a conviction of some sort.

I'm not sure how this works, just going on basic logic here, but maybe someone more into forensics can explain it - how is there no blood on Martin's shirt if he was leaning over Zimmerman hitting him, and then Zimmerman shot him in the chest? Wouldn't some blood have gotten on the shirt and on Zimmerman, especially with a straight shot to a beating heart?
That sounds so cold and I don't mean it to be, but trying to distance it and looking at the science, how does that work?
There's a photo of his body at the scene that shows how he was laying, but I don't think I'm allowed to link it here. Maybe you can look it up online. He is laying on his back, his one leg straight and the other slightly bent out at the knee, both arms down towards his side on the grass, his head back (his head isn't covered as the hood is apparently down), and his clothes don't look like they've been ripped or anything, just his sweatshirt thing is slightly pulled up on one side, but not showing stains or blood that I can see. Maybe my computer's color is off or not showing it clear enough, but I just don't see anything on that shirt at all, or anything in his position that makes any sense for someone to be in if they were shot while straddling someone else.
Perhaps someone who knows what they're doing can have a look and explain it.

brother, if the jury is worth its salt, Zimmermann should be found not guilty of ANY charge.
    this was self-defense.
them considering lesser charges just proves they want the guy in jail for killing a "minority".

I do not know if Zimmerman is guilty or innocent. Really, none of us know as we are not on the jury and have not heard all the evidence, pro or con.

Gina, I think you bring up some interesting points.

Also, I am not sure how a 150 kid could put a man as big and strong looking as Zimmerman on his back and sit on him. Zimmerman weighs in at 194. That is a 44 pound difference. That has never added up in my mind.

But, as I said, in reality, none of us really know if he is guilty or innocent.

Zimmerman is 194lbs, fat, flabby, and I wouldn't bet money on whether he could run a full mile.

Martin was 17, wiry, muscular, and in much better shape.

Understood, but to move a person that is 44 pounds heavier is not an easy task. And to put them on their back, sit on them and pound them without their being able to roll over, knock him off with is fist ... well it just does not seem reasonable. If you played football did you ever try to move a lineman who was 44 pounds heavier? Can't be done unless he is already off balance.

As I said, I do not know who is innocent and guilty. But from the little I know ... or anyone who has not been in the court room for the entire trial ... it seems reasonable doubt to me.
