I'm running an office PC (500 MHz P2 that doesn't do much), my old and my new PC. I built and overclocked them
My 3 year old PC: Watercooled AMD Athlon 2600+ running at 2.4 GHz which is approx 3.5Ghz P4 equiv
My new PC: AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ dual core running at 2.7GHz which is approx 2 X 4.5GHz P4 equiv
This bad boy renders 4-6 WUs a day for approx 400-500 points a day

I guess I did not do too bad in building my PC. In fact, I would have to say I did a better job than most. Not that I am bragging on myself just for building a PC, but the fact that I was able to build it, being blind, is an accomplishment.
It is not an up to date computer, it is a couple years old.

52x DVD RW Drive
2 Internal HDD's one 120gig SATA, one 80gig IDE
1 External 120 gig HDD
All in a server cabinet. Needed extra room for feeling inside when working on it.
When time to get a new PC comes, I will buy parts and keep the cabinet.
It is not an up to date computer, it is a couple years old.

Yes indeed, good job folding
We are getting into the top 4000 teams out of 42000 right now
if i'm reading the stats correctly, at this pace in 1 month we'll make it into the top 3000 and in 3 months into the top 2000
It would take like 10 months to make it into the top 1000, but everything is possible. All this I figured if the team's monthly production is around 20,000 points, approx where we are right now
If more people join us, it will make everything better and faster

Yesterday morning the power went out at my house for a few minutes and I lost 12 hours of folding time. Oh well. My current WU should complete later today.
We're in the Top 4,000 teams (#3,941 of 42,038). 24 CPUs completed 287 WUs for 31,051 points.

I recalculated the stats and it looks much better than I thought. The team is doing a great job, just keep it up!
Last week the team scored 13000 points!
Like this we'll make it to the top 3000 within a few days! In a month we'll make it to the top 2000 In 3 months we could be in the top 1000
Don't forget there are teams that are folding for months or years already and teams with hundreds of players and teams like universities and companies that are running hundreds of computers. This is excellent!

That's cool. I think I may still be running a client or two, but not as many as I used to. Electric rates in CT jumped 22% in January, and it is very expensive for me to keep the computers running. But I do run the client when I can or am doing work. Hope we can break the top 1,000 soon!
