Maybe Jesus has already returned and didn't find anyone with faith as he predicted.

Apparently you did not comprehend my statement! I was not speaking about those the scriptures make clear are already in heaven. I was speaking about those still on earth.

Those in heaven are no less apart of the body of Christ than those on earth.

so ALL who are in the Body of Christ are saints of God or not?

Are some such here while alive, others NOT until going thru Purgatory?

Those in heaven are in heaven.
A body of Christ refers theologically to a local church where each member makes up part of "the body" as described in 1Cor.11, and has a particular function just as each part of your body does--hand, foot, eye, etc. They function together in unity. That is why it is called a body of Christ.

There is no body of Christ universal, and certainly no body of Christ in heaven. There is the family God, for our family is spread throughout the world.

You are wrong. There is a body of Christ, where true believers are in Jesus.

All those in Christ while in their body or away from it are in the Body of Christ. Whether they are on earth, in heaven, or in purgatory. All these people are saints.

I believe that some people are in prison and can be let out, I do not use the word 'purgatory', nor would I say people that are in prison or purgatory are there AND in the body of Christ.

except the bible states that once dead, ONLY heaven/hell are viable options, and a person is either a saint/sinner at moment of their death!

The thread title infers that there are no degrees or reward in the next life.

    >if the practice/doctrine not found in the Bible, it doesn't matter who said or did what!

If churches applied this to electronic amplifiers then I could go to church with my #1 daughter,

There is the time after someone dies, before Jesus comes again. People go to either hell, or prison. Then there is a time for God's Wrath, and some will suffer that. Then there is still going to be another judgment, the great white throne judgment.

There are people who never heard of Jesus, because they just never heard of him. There are people who died as an infant or young child, and they did not know of Jesus. There are people who are mentally disabled and cannot understand about Jesus. There are spiritually blind people.
God is the judge. For you to claim you know exactly how God will judge is not an accurate statement.

Romans 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

Job 11:7 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

Job 15:8 Do you listen in on God's council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?

ALL doctrines/practices that are spiritual in nature MUST be found in the Bible!

Where are all the alter calls in the bible?
How about praying directly to Jesus sure the bible says we need to ask for things in Jesus Name or that we call upon his name or Stephen Appealed to Jesus to recieve his spirit, but where specifically does it say to pray to Jesus?
How about the definition of the Trinity? Where is that found in the bible? or Even the word Trinity?
How about bible only? Where is that in the bible? Surely 2 Tim 3:16 says what the bible can be used for but it doesn't say its the only authoritative source or to go to it alone.
How about re-marrying divorsed Christians that have been married to other christians? Where is that in the bible?
How about infant dedications? Since you're no longer following the law and you believe there are no sacraments where are all the baby dedications in the bible? Circumcision is no longer required what about the baby dedications?
How about bowing your head an closing your eyes when you pray? Where is that in the bible?

Not everything you hold to with spiritual emphasis is specified in the bible either. These are your traditions.

the core/essential Doctrines of the Chrsitian faith MUST be found in word of God!

All those thing s listed are preferences/convictions, not essentials!

Praying to Jesus isn't essential? Hmmmmm. How can you worship Christ the Lord and not even pray to him? How about scripture alone? Isn't that the authority you base your belief on? Hmmmmmmm.

At least those two seem very essential to me.

So you don't pray to Jesus? Also you don't need to believe in the trinity? Because these are not essential?
