    This is a strong sarcasm. You are like Adam, when in his innocence and excellence he was in the garden of Eden! Adam, the first and best man.

    The sarcasm continues; and here he is likened to the Cherub that guarded the gates of Paradise, and kept the way of the tree of life. Arrogantly assuming his power is much greater than it really was.

    The sarcasm is kept up. Thou hast been like the angels, like Moses, like the cherubs, like Adam, like God, till thy iniquity was found out. His pride and arrogance was so great he was better than any and all men. Until his folly was exposed to all.

    It is a description of all men when their pride overwhelms them.

    This is bordering on the absurd. Die hard Calvinists will do anything, even diminish the clear written word, to keep their heretical doctrine alive. Why? Free-will ideas must be extinguished at any cost...

    Here's what I said in context without your twists and contortions:

    Satan's rebellion was to be a lesson to the universe through all coming ages--a perpetual testimony to the nature of the love of self and its terrible results. The working out of Satan's rule, its effects upon both men and angels, would show what must be the fruit of setting aside God's agape love. The allowance of iniquity would testify that with the existence of God's government is bound up the well-being of all the creatures He has made. Thus the history of this terrible experiment of rebellion was to be a perpetual safeguard all of God's creation, to prevent them from being deceived as to the nature of sin.

    God allowed sin for a purpose and that purpose was to fully expose iniquity for what it is - a deceiver. Then, once God shuts down this terrible experiment, "trouble will not arise a second time." Nahum 1:9 Why? Because all of His creation sees the effects of setting aside God's divine agape love. They will be no longer ignorant to the nature of sin.

    I never said that. You quoted only the words "terrible experiment" and paraphrased the rest. That is being dishonest.

    The context is either you think God performed a terrible experiment or you think God is not Sovereign. Which is it?
