Yes of course the old anecdote no one can confirm.

A false claim. I do not ignore the great commission. It's all about preaching the gospel to every creature and making disciples. I am not against disciple-making in any form.

Sometimes I wonder why I involve myself with these people. But as an author once said "it's not wise taking advice from people that have little to no experience." Why do I listen to posts from people that are not regular street evangelists is beyond me.

How many souls have been saved due to your preaching drawing them to Christ and how many of those souls have you personally discipled in the last 8 years?

Uh no that is not what your problem is, your issue is that you know so much that isn't true.

This is not an easy task for a street evangelist. Remember my church does not do this so I am on my own.

So you confuse results with evangelism?

I have spent well over 40 years in full time service for the Lord. I have spent years on the mission field in Europe, Asia, and Central America. I have not only preached the gospel in those places, I have baptized and discipled the new converts, and planted 6 New Testament churches.

When it comes to Christian experience you are a child. A neophyte. A novice. And I am not the only one.

John Hines (John of Japan) has spent more years on the mission field than you have been alive.

Young man, you need to get down on your knees and confess your sin of pride. Especially due to the unfortunate fact that you have nothing to be proud of!

True Evangelism HAS results. If you are leading and nobody is following, you are not leading. You are just going for a walk!

Ray Comfort has evangelized to thousands and passed out 40,000 tracts. He has not planted a church but has been faithful to the commission. How many have come to saving faith? A few that I am aware of but not a large number.

The thing that matters that he preaches as well as Mark Devers is FAITHFULNESS. One must be faithful to the commission and that is all that matters.

We are not talking about Ray Comfort. We are talking about YOU!

Not according to Mark Devers. Results are up to the Lord.

No excuses, while you are busy trying to tell everyone else they are doing it wrong you need to answer this question. How many disciples have you made and worked with?

Then he is a fool. If he really said that. Which I doubt.

And the Lord is not slack concerning His promises toward us. He promised us Holy Spirit Power which would draw people from every walk of life to the Son.

If that's is not happening, don't try to blame God. Go look in the mirror.

Except you are not, by your own admission, faithful to the "commission". The Great Commission include discipleship of which you do none. So no you are not faithful.

Results are up to the Lord.

Read the John Stott quote in the chapter.

I did not ask you to have the results up to you. I asked if you have discipled anyone. Saying the results are up to the Lord in no way excuses you from discipleship. That is a complete distortion of that idea.

Does not mean I am against it.

If you are not doing it you are not faithful to the Great Commission even though you may not be "against it".
