    Totally predictable...but still incredible:

    LATIMES source

Obama promised to be a "transparent president." So now...he's receiving an award from "federation of black community newspapers." (Which begs the question, "What would happen were there a "federation of white community newspapers," but that's another thread.)

He's barred the press from the ceremony.

    Some thoughts:

    • What happened to "transparency?"
    • Is it possible that the aforementioned federation is so radical, that Obama doesn't want publicity? (I find this quite likely).
    • What is the president scared of?
According to FOXNEWS, Josh Earnest, deputy White House Press Secretary, tells Fox the president's reception this afternoon with the National Newspaper Publishers Association is a "special access" event that the representatives of African-American community newspapers will cover as participants. The event will not open to daily White House reporters.

One buck gets you ten that there will be a shortage of "objective reporting" on this. Those "covering" this event probably pray to Obama.

Breaking news! Obama bans the press from following him into the john. It has been reported as well that he won't allow them into this bedroom to watch him sleep.

So what? Does the guy have to have the press follow him everywhere?

This ignores the very obvious point in this story.

Obama is receiving an award from a group whose agenda it is likely would be unpopular.

    So, he squelches it.

Even deeper than that...this is the president that promised us "transparency."

    It ain't happening.

I wrote a letter to Obama asking his view on various issues, that were not addressed during his campaign. A few weeks later, I got a response back from his director of correspodence, telling me to go to WhiteHouse.gov. I went to that website & it didn't address anything I asked about. In the response it talked about being the most transparent administration in history.

I intend to respond back by sending a letter to this director telling him that I would have addressed the letter to him if I wanted him to write me & that my questions weren't answered. I also will till him to let me know when the "transparent administration" begins.

making more obvous all the time.

seems to me it is blacks who are keeping racism alive and well. At one time blacks only wanted to be counted as equal, and rightfully so, but now, not true, many want to be counted even better then any other color of person on the planet, with special treatment only because of their color.
And I don't care what anyone has to say about it:tongue3:

A reply of this nature just reinforces the notion that Obamaites are finally realizing that they bought "a pig in a poke", and the truth is really hurting; but they just can't get around to openly admit it!

Of course you don't. However black community newspapers address issues within their minority communities they serve. There are many special audience papers serving many niches.

And a reply of your nature shows that you care nothing for fact checking and just jump to conclusions. I'm not an "Obamaite". Never have, never will be. The guy is bad for our country.

I just think it is silly to nit pick over stupid things like this. If you want to bash the guy, let's deal with his economic policy, his voting record on murdering unborn children, his catering to the homosexual agenda, or many other meaningful issues.
