Remember this next time you try to say that voting for the President does not mean you support all of his policies such as abortion.

My statement doesn't imply or mean any person agrees with 100% of his positions. It says we weighed the good and bad of the options, and found him most acceptable. So if that's what you mean then yes, I have always said I am not a single issue voter and my God is not a single issue God.

I have learned in life to take the good with the bad.

Me, I would like us to go to a single payer system. This means I don't agree 100% with Obama, but I heard his platform and found him closer to what I want than the others. After spending 12 years in the military, I have no reservations about government run health care.

Obama campaigned saying he will give us the public option and that he would spread the wealth. America went to the polls and made him our leader.

Why do you say government isn't listening to the people? Are you saying the minority should have more say then the majority?

The problem is the 40+% of Americans who help vote in BO do not even pay ANY TAX AT ALL!
Of course, they wanted to "share the wealth"

ps, some of that 43% actually "pay" negative taxes

Succession is not the answer. The answer is to rid this country of both parties, take every member of Congress (except maybe Ron Paul) the Executive Branch, and all former officials for the past 20 years and put them on trial for grand theft of the American people and treason against the US Constitution. Take one billion dollars of that stimulus money, and build a super max prison with chain gangs and breaking rocks all day, and upon conviction, put everyone of the crooks there for life. If it were in my power, I would appoint that famous Arizona sheriff warden.

In the meantime, we the people could at the grass roots level come up with new parties that want to serve the American people and enforce the Constitution, and have a whole new crew next election day.

Sure, then you would start afresh calling them anarchists, communists, socialists and new crooks. For and by the people has always been a dream and not a reality,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in most countries.

Cheers,

As much as I usually agree with you, this one we will have to disagree. Yes, man is a flawed creature. However, from the day we were founded, there were actually Presidents and Congresses that went by the Constitution and had a heart to serve the people. Some worked without salary. They were generally honest men.

Fast forward to 2009. The leaders in Washington are just the opposite. They disregard the Constitution. They do not serve the people, they serve themselves to our taxes. Their purpose is to hold on to power. They spend ten times as much getting elected as the job pays over the term. Money talks. They bow to the interests of Wall Street, CEOs and lobbyists. They have no moral values, in fact, enact laws putting the official seal on laws that directly oppose the Word of the Lord, and the principles on which we were founded. They not only pass the laws, they brag about it, and rub God's nose in the stench of our land. They are nothing but a collection of thugs and thieves with suits.

Want new parties? Dump the Constitution for a parliamentary government. I can't think of any other way.

Or return to the Articles of Confederation and have 50 STATES, not 50 provinces.

What does creating two new parties have to do with any form of government? Parties are not even mentioned in the Constitution. The last thing we need is a parlimentary government.

Government run health insurance.
Less than one percent of the people I know want government control over their health care.

The majority of people who voted him in to be president.
Uh, no. No one in their right mind voted in a man who said he was going to steal from my pocket and give it to them. It's my money. I worked for it, I earned it. It is not for the benefit of others and it is certainly not there for the government to take away.

This is your opinion and we al have one. Unfortunately, you and I only have one vote which is the worth of our opinion.
That's right. My opinion as to what a government should do. My house, my land, my life, my possessions and my money are of no concern of anyones, least of all the governments.

I agree, this is why the majority has extended their hand and offered the minority a seat at the table of discussion. However, the minority is saying we don't want discussion, we want you to abandon your plans and do it our way. Bipartisanship has become a word the means, "they won't abandon their proposal and accept ours".
A lot of people like me don't say, " Do it our way." A lot of people like me say, " Do whatever you want with what is yours but leave me and mine alone."

I think we if we get back to the original definition of bipartisanship we can have legislation that neither side is totally happy with but both can accept. Until then, the majority will get their way.
I have never cared about bipartisanship. It's just another government word meaning the common man still gets the shaft, no matter who 'wins', the republicans or the democrats.
