I think his comments about Governor Palin were completely offensive. The comments about her daughter (doesn’t matter which daughter) were absolutely revolting. Seriously it :BangHead:

David Letterman is a disgrace and should be FIRED!

His obvious animosity for Governor Palin is interesting…Perhaps it’s really some sort of attraction…considering what his wife looks like….a man…

The libbies cried until Don Imus was fired, but since Letterman is one of theirs, they'll turn this thread into "Yeah, well, what about Rush Limbaugh".....

It all depends who's ax is being gored. I have actually heard a guy who posts here say Palin deserves this kind of treatment.

Letterman has a right to say what he said, we have the ability to change the channel. Personally, I haven't watched his show in years.

I don't agree he should be fired. I didn't think Imus should have been either. Free market theory would say that if enough people either change the station or turn the set off, the problem is immediately solved...and if enough do so, there will be new programming.

I heard Randi Rhodes back on the air. I listen to her once in a while, and I forgot what she did to get fired, but just like Imus, she's back.

I don't listen to Imus.

It's called a remote. Some folks would rather listen and be offended than to change the channel.

Some folks go to the trouble of looking up the offensive remark on YOUTUBE, then demanding everyone else be just as offended as they are.....

Remember the marketing adage...There is NO bad publicity. Remember that Letterman is up against a new competitor at NBC. Perhaps the entire purpose was to generate talk.

Animosity? Nah - he's an equal opportunity insulter.

As for the idea of his wife looking like a man? Let's see:

Long hair, woman's chest, hourglass figure, purse - Yep, looks like a man to me.

She's been his love interest for many, many years. She is the mother of his child.

So.....she's not a beauty queen, she's not a Hollywood starlet, nor the latest teen-age flavor of the month.

Does that make her deserving of your joke? What makes your joke any more redeeming than his?

Letterman's son was born in 2003.

He wed his son's mother in 2009.

Do you think that he hold's the mother of his child in the same low esteem that he expressed for Palin's daughter?

After all they both participated in the same sort of activities without the benefit of marriage.

Also, considering the above facts, how does Letterman consider himself any different than Palin's daughter?

Does he have dual standards? One for women and another for himself?

He too participated in the same sort of activities for which he publicly ridiculed another.

What do they say about glass houses?
