Where did this hatred come? Is it new or just an old hatred in new clothing?

Well, the phrase "the nation's first African American President" could have been left out of that paragraph and it would have still been effective... but when they put it in, it makes it sound like the so called, "hate" is from racism.

Let's play with this paragraph and see what happens...
Here it is with nothing changed....

    Notice what's missing?
Notice that without that phrase, the air of racism isn't there... so it is clear that the author is trying to point to Obama's race as being the reason people disagree with him...

Let's try this.. I will add a word, and see what happens...

    original

    Change
See, now it is about his supposed Muslim background.

This is a case of another liberal blogger (who, surprise, surprise happens to be black, and can't see past Obama's skin color to address the real issues... read the rest of the article, and it becomes clear) who is trying setting up a lense through which he wants his readers to view the tea party in DC today....

That's all we have.. another elite, racist that wants to look down on hard working men and women who stand against Obama.

Yes Sanderson is an idiot.... we all knew that before he made his statements... painting all of Obama's critics as racist makes the author just as big of an idiot. The author wants to smear Obama's critics, without addressing the issues that make them critical of Obama...

You have a point, it sounds like the old hatred of Bush (which continues to this day on the BB).

Well, at least Crabby is Borg and wants to bring all into the collective. Then we will all walk in lock step, in total agreement with the rest of these robotic drones. This seems to be the paradise of the liberal.:tear:

Can you give us an example of this "hatred"? Funny how it's the liberals are the ones who are choosing to make his race an issue, but then claim that we're the racists.

On another message board, I was called a racist (along with every other name in the book) just for asking if Obama was qualified to be president.

They claim that we're the racists, but they're the ones who always insist on making his race an issue.

Hey Crabtownboy, you have started many threads today, but are not responding to them... Why not?

Can you refute what I said in my previous post? Why is the phrase, "the nation's first African American President" pertinent to the blog.. unless the African American author of the blog wanted to use the race card?

With all the threads articulating the problems with our current administration, to write them off as racism is either a dangerous kind of ignorance, or an out & out bigoted hatred of your opponent. Lies about the other's position do not a debate make.

I said something like that the other day before i ever heard of Borg, what ever it is. I think I used the word drones to describe the leftist in their utopia.

Race based or not I am very concerned about the spirit of hate being showed towards this administration.

More than that I am concerned about the source of that hatred.

I guess you did not read the editorial that was linked in the op.

You asked for an example, so I gave you one.

Faithful Word Baptist Church is an independant, KJVO "church". Any man who stands and wishes for another to die and be lost forever is no man of God.

Did Anderson say anything about his race ? Anderson sounds like a hateful guy, and he does not speak for KJVO IFB churches.

However, Brother Curtis, you will be damned by some for the behavior of non-Reverend Anderson. You may even die for his sins and have your children sold in the sex-slave markets.

I think he should be kept in a cage and checked for rabies??? OTOH, Bro. Curtis is a known nice guy; Anderson is a certified fundy nutcase and right-wingnut.

BTW, I don't find any scripture supporting praying against sombody or praying for bad things to happen to them.

May God bless my President: Barak Obama. May some good stuff happen to him. May Pres. Obama lead the USofA to achieve the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr.. May this be done so we might give all the more honor and glory unto our blessed Lord & Savior: Messiah Yeshua. Amen.

So this guy gives us five or six examples out of a nation of over 350,000,000 people.

Hey in a group that large you are bound to find a couple of nut jobs.

Translation: No, I can't give any examples to back up my claims.

You gave an example of one person out of millions.

You claim, for some inexplicable reason, to be a Christian. Does that mean that if someone were to ask me for an example of someone who shares your views, I should point them to Fred Phelps?

You are right on the mark. Borg originated in one of the Start Trek TV shows, their organization was called a collective and the members were Borg or drones. Seems to be very appropriate for the libbers that are this board.:thumbs::thumbs:
