Boy, It's obvious where the people who are too stupid to be in charge of stuff go...

...they go to California, and get elected to public office!!

Instead of cracking down on "graffiti artists" (that means thug who defaces property)...they are punishing homeowners.

Maybe California should review Texas laws regarding property rights. It seems that they aren't having this probelm in that State...

A couple of things. First, the link in the OP has nothing to do with graffiti. Second, it's not a state law, it's an ordinance in the City of Los Angeles. Third, there's nothing to suggest they aren't going after taggers (in fact, the LAPD has a tagging task force). Fourth, the ordinance requires property owners to remove graffiti within 7 days. Lastly, the current law allows a property owner to sue a tagger for the cost of removing the graffiti.

Nod... the link is about Michael Moore, not graffiti.

Just to reiterate my previous post:
    • This isn't a state law, it's an local ordinance in the City of Los Angeles.
    • There's nothing to suggest they aren't going after taggers (in fact, the LAPD has a tagging task force).
    • The ordinance requires property owners to remove graffiti within 7 days.
    • The current law allows a property owner to sue a tagger for the cost of removing the graffiti.
    So, what's the problem?

It's "liberal" to require property owners to remove graffiti within 7 days??
