Maybe our first response should be hospitality to these unfortunate, displaced people. They have had a tragedy befall them and we should be graceful towards them.

Yes, the Red Cross, the SBC disaster team - and other private charities should help.

I suppose the Air Force could use planes to ship needed materials, send some military medical personnel ect,...

Don't you know, John? They're black and poor. If this had happened in Iceland, and it was middle-class white folks, I doubt this concern would have even been expressed.

I think you're exactly right. Of course, they don't come out and say it, but the subtext is there. This is a perfect case of racist code words being used.

Be On the Lookout for one million Haitian Refugees.
A call to prepare.... for hospitality or appeal for help or an opportunity for mission or a chance to adopt a child or a family?

And the problem is?
The problem is that many people in a land of poverty are now hurting, and homeless, sick and broken. Its an opportunity for choices. It doesn't mean, necessarilly, opening doors to unlimited immigration nor an influx of devil worshippers: But, I'm sure, there are many Christians in their numbers.... as brethren, we should be concerned for them as well as the lost souls among the rest.

Actually, had it been Iceland.... the offer of help might be there but the 'middle class' of that nation, as you put it, would probably be strong enough in economics and stability to respond quickly to their own without much suffering to those who live through it. But Hatti's poverty in both wealth and stability is likely to have trouble responding to reduce the additional suffering of a people already suffering. They are human. They are poor. Many are lost. Some are brothers and sisters in Christ. Is color what YOU SEE MP????????

Another 'ditto-head'??????:tonofbricks:

I'm praying that the Lord of Lords will work his grace and mercy even during this judgement.

I see the race-baiters didn't miss a chance to exalt themselves.

They are poor becuase they have lived under dictators for fifty years. It isn't our responsibility to let them live here, give them welfare, etc.....And to the race-baiting bullies, I would say the same thing, no matter their economic condition. And thank you for reminding us of their color.

Our donations to the Red Cross & Salvation Army, & other charities will far outshine any other nation. Americans are great people.

the next thing we'll do is give away welfare.
I noticed the real racists here are always there to draw attention to a person race that they are different.

And no, I don't have friends, black, white or anyother color. So your completely wrong.

I am not surprised in the least.
It's MY choice not to have friends, you assume and insinuate otherwise and your assumption is false.
But truth rarely interests you anyway.
How about staying on topic, you'll do anything to shift a thread topic.

opposing importing millions of people we will have to support with welfare has nothing to do with racisim. and nothing you say to get off topic changes that.

Maybe you should go out and make some friends.
