Who's being nasty and hateful? I didn't see that anywhere.
Nobody here...yet. But unfortunately our response is generally less out of love and more out of spite.

I think its disgusting. If my children attended the school, they would not attend that event. And I would use to the time to remind them (my children) from the Bible what God says about homosexuality.
I expect it shows juvenile rebellion tweaking the nose of the "establishment" more than anything else.
I see you post the same way every time sin is mentioned. Do you even realize that Jesus was the most scathing preacher of all time? I bet you skipped those chapters in the bible where Jesus called people hypocrites. How about the apostles? They preached repentance. You can't preach that unless you confront sin.
Sodomy is a sin, and one the bible calls an abomination to God. It needs to be confronted, and those engaging in it need to be told the truth concerning it. They need that. They need to repent. They don't need someone to pat them on the back and say it is ok, they need someone to stand up and tell them that God abominates the act of sodomy.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
There's a big difference between pointing out that something is not right and is sin and being "nasty and hateful". In the end times evil will be called good, and good will be called evil--just we are seeing with voting two homosexuals as "king and queen" at the prom. All I can say is, "Lord, how much longer will You allow such wickedness?"

And how do we love them but by pleading for them before God and warning (if possible).
Abraham prayed and pleaded with God to spare the sinful "cities of the plain".
Lot tried to warn them. We all know the reponse.
They won't hear us.
Look, the very sin of this community is named after that city and the biblical outcome is universally known.
The Spirit also reproving them of their sin.
Soon, we probably won't be legally allowed to warn folks concerning this sin.
But what does it matter since most sin is sugar-coated now anyway.
At this point we can plead for our loved ones and friends who are involved with this and any other sin.
And how do we love them but by pleading for them before God and warning (if possible).

The world does--including some "Christians". I didn't say anyone here did--so don't be so touchy.

My reaction is they need to change the title to "school elected a King and Prince" instead of King and Queen, or is it two Queens. I agree with the other posters, on a serious note. It is really getting bad when this filth invades the high schools in an official capacity.

In the "age of rebellion". the sixties, my high schoold selected "We Gotta get outa this place", by the Animals, as their class song.
As you would expect, the administration decided it would be something else..."The Impossible Dream".
Teenagers always try to make a statement. In the coming years , many of them will regret their actions that forever marred, and made a joke of, their class prom.
Or just laugh at how they poked their fingers in the eye of the "establishment' and got away with it.

I'm an idiot....I'm a sinner, but, I would like to see the one to 'poke a finger' in God's eye.....i.e.....the establishment. No problem with you....just like to see it.
