This is both tragic and ironic.

I totally agree it is about rights which are going down the tube but still not wearing a helmet isn't ....
In Portland if there is a death in a crash on the freeways they are closed, usually for at least 3-4 hours. Totally for the fun and use of the million dollar converted rvs called accident investigation or whatever they call them.
I could go for a rider not wearing a helmet if he or she would be held responsible for his or her own healthcare if he or she is in an accident. If their is a head injury then the rider is not eligible for any type of tax payer assistance. Nor is the rider eligible for SS disability benefits. If a rider wants the freedom to ride without a helmet then we, as society, should be free from having to take care of him or her when hurt exercising that freedom in an idiotic manner. Same should go for seat belts too. If you don't wear a seat belt you are not eligible for government care if you are injured in an automobile accident.
Then they should bann all vehicles ending all wrecks and always keeping all roads open.
Every 18 wheeler accident is long hours so we need t ban 18 wheelers. My point is not what you try to make it out to be by far. The point is that several hours of investigation, tying up hundreds of people and man hours when it is really not necessary except in their eyes for the use of their equipment probably financed by the federal give-aways.
They have investigated accidents for years without these long tie-ups.

18 wheeler accidents have always taken a long time. Not sure your point unless absurdity is on your mind.
A ban on stupidity is what we need. :love2:
This accident reminds me of mans rebellion at God and His laws, and the end is the consequence, except in the spiritual realm it's eternal in consequence.
That would certainly touch everyone as I am sure you were speaking in the first person.
My comment to ban stupidity was concerning the motorcyclist.
