Communist News Network.... This is why I prefer to get my news from Fox News. It seems to me to be more balanced in its approach to reporting news.

I will notice the word 'more' in your post, but Fox is far from
a balanced news source.

They are all out to appeal to their band of viewers and sell advertising. Balanced doesn't sell ads.

Do You Feel Better Now?

You are defintiely allowed your opinion. And lately you are making your opinions known, especially when it comes to anything I post. It almost seems as though their is something 'more' personal behind your attempts to miminize make my posts/comments before our peers.

If I didn't know better, I'd start to feel that you have some kind of personnel (hidden) agenda behind your comments? However, if you had some kind of personal thing toward me, that would be unchristian on your behalf, and I am trying to believe (the good in you, and not the bad) that you are not allowing your flesh to enter into your personal comments on my postings?

You cannot get more balanced. Fox interviews folks on both sides of the issues. It is a rare occasion that any of the others do.

Your Opinion on FOX

AMEN! You are definitely correct when it comes to the difference between these two networks.

Was wondering if you had an opinion on this - I like the Jay Leno show, (as it entertaining most of the time) but I am getting disgusted with his catering to Obama. The Tonight Show is becoming Obama's persoanl platform. and that is probably because Hollywood is so biased when it comes to politics.

I didn't have much time, but could not find a Fox story to back up the contention in the OP that the demonstrators were becoming violent and riotous. I would be much more willing to accept that the original site.

Anybody have a reputable conservative source to back up the contention that the demonstrators were violent and riotous?

I don't know anything about FoxNation. Is it an anti-Fox blog? They had a story but I don't want to quote it in case it is just another agenda driven blog.

You asked for this, so here it is: http://www.foxcrawl.com/2011/10/26/video-occupy-oakland-protest-turns-violent/

Does this lend more cred to my post?

Thanks, it does indeed. It basically says the same thing as CNN. My original questioning was based in the racist site you mistakenly linked to. I don't doubt that any demonstration can get out of hand.

In response to the questions in the OP here is my reply from above

At this point these folks don't have the commitment to hold a real revolution. They are too soft and pampered and will go home to their basement rooms in mommy's house as soon as the weather turns had. It is is a 'protest of the month' movement.

The amount of bias in a news network is contingent on the opinions of the viewer.

Yes I agree. No newscast is totally unbiased. Also, we interpret the story with our own biased opinion and beliefs. For example, if I listen to Fox News, I already, from my point of view, look at the story as being given from a right-wing perspective; same thing with MSNBC leaning left-wing.

Fox News it the right-wing counterpoint to the left-wing viewpoint of MSNBC.

Ok my point was the Fox offers the other sides viewpoint and interviews them directly. Whereas the other channels very seldom do so. so regardless of the conservative view point of the program hosts the programs are balanced because of this.

I did not know this about Fox News, I seldom, if every, watch them. I also don't watch MSNBC.

In general terms of the news networks, MSNBC is the left wing channel, Fox News is the right wing channel, and CNN is the center-left to centrist channel.

I tend to watch CNN more than any of these because, as a center-left (politically) kind of person, CNN is the least irritating of the bunch, but I do notice left-wing slant from time-to-time. Curiously, I also occasionally notice right-wing slant.

That being said, individual shows on each network have different flavors. Hannity's show on Fox, for instance, is going to be staunchly right-wing.

For CNN, it's a mixed bag. Anderson Cooper is more center-left. Erin Burnett is more center-right. Piers Morgan is left. They co-sponsored a presidential debate with the Tea Party. IMO, CNN is trying to strike a centrist balance.

I'm not sure this is true. I do know that what you are saying about Fox is true, but I regularly see guests from opposing viewpoints on CNN shows.

I don't watch MSNBC very often, so I can't speak to their methods.

I watch multiple channels. Anderson Cooper is the only show on CNN that I have seen do this. And CNN is far more than center left.

Fox is not a conservative news source. They are a catholic news source.

Are you going to say Shep Smith is a conservative ? Is Bill O'Reilly ? Greta ?

The only good thing on Fox was Red Eye, but I think that's even gone, now. I got rid of cable T.V. last year.
