How Long Before Occupy Protest...

..... turn into Egypt like riots! If the events at the California University continue to get the attention, headlines and sympathy it has gotten, it may not be long.

I'm not taking either side in this madness....just asking questions that seem to be pushed under the carpet of the emotional furor (on both sides of this issue)!

These protesters may seem to many, to be simply exercising their rights, but they are breaking laws all over the place (sort of like those who come across our borders to find a new and better life - without proper documentation and citizenship applications).

I know the UC cops were wrong, but, in defense of their actions. The protesters were adequately warned.

How many of you would continue to break laws after being warned, by the people hired to enforce laws, to cease and desist and disperse?

It doesn't take a college education to know that you can push law enforcement too far, and by becoming martyrs, full fledge riots are not too far off?

The law enforcement officials will eventually be replaced by the military, and the protesters may not get warnings before the tanks roll over their "protesting" sit-ins!

If the madness doesn't stop soon, it may be too late to head off the social insanity that will follow! When are those who break the laws (no matter how big the law) are "held" responsible for their actions???

You say they were warned. What laws were they breaking? My guess is that if these people are serious they will continue and the police and government will continue to violate their constitutional rights until blood is shed on both side. So yes it may very well escalate into what we are seeing in other countries. I think the government holds the key as to how they respond. More illegal violence from the authorities and it will get worse grow into a greater problem.

And this is manifested from the top when a president ignores constitutional rights to order the death of an American citizen without due process. It is system wide apparently.

I do agree that our nation's leaders no longer follows the constitution. However I am not yet convinced that the constitution was violated in the case you are sighting. My point being, do I really have the right to expect constitutional protections when I disown The nation I was born in and seek to destroy under the intention of war against that nation? At this point I don't think so and my guess is neither did he.
It just does not seem to me that the constitution was intended to extend rights to such a person. I would want to know all the law on it which I don't, but based on mere logic I would say no.
