Why do you say that? Because they are Free Will Bap?

Here is the direct link to the article

The article states the former pastor says he is not a racist. The definition is : A racist believes that one race is superior to another

Its interesting to note that only 1/2 of the members voted on the issue. Hmmm..... church split coming?

On the other hand, it is a logical and traditional interpretation of the "Flood" myth concerning Ham, Shem, and (can't spell). One of them was predestined by God to be a servant race to the other two.

I don't personally accept it, neither do I believe the Bible is a history book.

Because racisim is still alive and well in America. Did they provide any scripture twist to justify?

Why would this couple want to be part of this congregation? My wife is Mexican. If our church did not want us there we would be glad to leave.

They do not have to provide scripture or a biblical teaching to justify or explain to the members why they are against interracial couples?
    Elaborate...

This type of policy is has generally been based on 2 Cor. 6:14. (Like that's the passage BJU used to use). So they'll say it's not based on "hatred" of any race, just "biblical separation".
However, what does that passage actually specify "unequal yoke" is to be based on? The question then is, (assuming both people are believers), then which race equates to an unbeliever?

You generally can't amend church bylaws on the spot. There are notice and quorum requirements that must be met for such a vote to have validity.

Depending on the bylaws there may not have been enough people for a quorum. If that is the case the vote should not have been allowed in the first place, but would make the vote useless anyhow.

And I am not surprised some are not surprised.

The entire witness of Scripture is contrary to this hateful, stupid nonsense.

    Is it?

The fact of the matter is, it ain't any of your business whether this church will allow interracial marriage or not. It certainly isn't newsworthy.

It isn't "hateful" or "stupid." That's the hyperbolic subterfuge belched by liberals in their efforts to oppress others.

However, the "entire witness of Scripture" is that it's the father's perogative to choose to whom he will give his daughter. And if dad don't like the guy's freckles, then he doesn't have to give his daughter, and there isn't one Scripture you can produce that will overrule him.

50 B.C. called. They want their gender views back.

And there isn't one thing the father can do to stop his daughter from marrying someone.

Your post demonstrates a very disturbing application of the Bible.
