    The problem is the very existence of "foreign policy." Mind out own business, treat every foreign nation the same. Have a universal import-export policy. Close all embassies. Let the international corporations assume international business risks.

    Good point. I wonder what would have happened to England in WW2 if they had just 'minded their own business'? We can't afford to let the wild and wicked nations develop serious weapons and float them over here on their boats to bomb us off the map while we ignore them. And this world has gotten too small for us to deliver the defenseless nations to the dogs while we bask on our sunny beaches and let the world go to heck, vainly imagining they will never take us down with them.
