I am going to try to post this subject here (as suggested) and see how long it remains open for discussion!

Help! :tonofbricks: This is one more reason I'd love to move out of California, but because of cash flow and my health insurance being too complicated and involved to move to another carrier in another state; I am sorted of stuck here. I'm just thankful I have no children of school age. But, I know many fine people who do, and my heart aches for them.

    SEE:http://www.onenewsnow.com/Education/...spx?id=1507548

Teachers already have to stop the class and explain to their classes that Bobby and Larry's mom and mom (or dad and dad) are a couple just like Jack and Jills mom and dad are a couple. Huh! It is getting bad for children (out here), and just as bad for teachers who are born-again and teaching in this west coast school system. :tear:

And remember, if this works out in California, it is more than likely to move in the direction of your state. :type:

    Not Really...

...just seeing if the suggestion to move topics like this to the current event forum will keep it from being shut down.

    Admin note and advanced warning:

This is a news story. If it becomes a discussion about any sort of human sexu@lity it will be closed. If it is a discussion about laws or school policies it has decent chance of staying open. It is a borderline thread considering the rules against discussion of human sexu@lity in open forum. If it crosses the line it will be reported to the moderators of this forum.

And once again I ask for clarification on the rule. Is discussion of how the homosexual life style is a sin against the rules? What exactly is "discussion about any sort of human sexuality"?

For instance, why does a topic like http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=76229 not get these same warnings?

To this point that thread is purely about Israel. If the discussion turns its focus the sexu@lity it will be closed.

But here is a more reputable and informative actual news story about the issue:

Antelope Valley News: Critics Assail AB 266 After Ammiano Ammendment

A California legislator took an existing bill and introduced this amendment [NOTE: it has since been tabled link]:

Glad it's been tabled. Sounds like a nightmare if they put it into place.
It really surprises me that with all of the tragedies and traumas that have gone on in recent years, people haven't turned back to common sense and to God and knocked off all this crazy God-forsaken nonsense that does nothing but drive away any blessing of our nation we may have otherwise been in line to enjoy.

    You Said a Mouthful....

...that is exactly how I feel too! Sorry about the bad link, it was working when I pasted it to the post and checked it twice (I usually do this). Thanks to the other responders for correcting the link and finding out additional info about the law being tabled.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I'm not good at researching "legal stuff". Can anyone confirm that this didn't pass?

Found this which may be an indicator that it did pass.

Passed or not, this social "movement" gives the appearance of a fulfillment of Luke 17:28-31. RE: The time "when the Son of man is revealed".

If we see the OT source of this prediction of Luke 17:28-31, all of this OT society had been infected:

"both old and young, all the people from every quarter" Genesis 19:4b.
