God created man on the 6th day and then He rested.

I've heard people say that Elvis is still alive. Maybe you should create a thread about that?

I've heard of that theory, but there's no biblical evidence of it. Adam brought sin and death into the world, so there was no death before him.

My friend. That is not fair. He asked a legitimate question.

Some of the charismatic crowd (Benny Hinn) have been popularizing this theory, after the book was written (can't remember the author).

There is absolutely no scriptural support for this theory other than what they twist.

It's not a legitimate question for anyone who has read the creation account and has faith to believe it.

Well, to be fair to Matt, the OP has probably already asked the same question before under his alter ego. (Not picking a fight or anything)

Brother, you know of all the outlandish ideas of where mankind came from. You also know what the Bible says.

It says that God created mankind - male and female - in a particular order of creation. And the Bible says that Eve is the mother of all the living.

She can't be the mother of human being who came before her, now could she.

My friend. I have Christian friends who graduated from College and don't believe the flood was global.

People are searching just like you and I once did. My mother is the wife of a pastor and she believes God used evolution.

If they are unable to believe in a God of miracles, then I doubt they are worshiping the proper God and they need to examine themselves closely.

Just asking IF possible that people existed on earth before Adam/eve, in that they were NOT special creations of God, that none of them had the breath of God upon them to grant them spiritual life?

How do we account for "humans" who are called peking/java/cro magnon men etc?

Were they here before adam/Eve, at same time distinct species of man, or what?

Brother, from what I understand about Java man is that an entire species of "missing link" was formulated from a thigh bone, skull cap, and three teeth that weren't even from the same organism.

How can anybody with a straight face and truth in their heart tell the rest of humanity that they have found a common ancestor of apes and humans?

    Java man has no credibility.

What level of epistemic certitude are you looking for here? Possible, sure, but just about anything imaginative is possible.

We cannot know for certain why they or how or whether they were here at all. There are lots of reasonable theories (and plenty of dumb ones) that account for the existence of such fossils.

Just trying to see best way to explain on just what those "people" were who are in thefossel record, if NOT really humans, not created by God, were they ALL just ancestors to current Great Apes?

There is evidence that neanderthals lived along side of humans.

Some would consider that the intermarriage between the animal and human was what the Scriptures refer to in Gen 6:2-4.

The evidence further shows that neanderthals became extinct about the time that many would date the flood.

I don't speculate one way or the other.

However, for any theologian to be myopic in thinking that God had no previous creations, and that God will have no further creations is most certainly not considering that one of the great characteristics of God is He is The Creator.

The statements of this post doesn't in any way discredit the 6 day creation of the world, and the creation of eternal man and woman.

Though there is some doubt about the woman. :saint:

Did God breath into the woman as He did man?
