    Looks like Ed Shultz almost got his wish. I wonder if he will spew any hate towards Cheney now?

    Of course he will.

    No doubt it will be jokes about Cheney finally having a heart.

    Or too bad Cheney didn't have a heart when he was in the Bush administration.

    Or finally a Republican has a heart.

    Or some other such trash.

    Prayers and best wishes for Dick Cheney. There should be nothing political about this. He is a very intelligent man who knows how to administer government. He is also a man of character. His problem when in office was he came across as angry and dull on TV, but that has nothing to do with his inward self or ability to govern. He was a represenative from Wyoming, chief of staff for President Ford, Secretary of Defense for President Bush 1 and Vice President. Some people are just not good in front of a camera or in public. Nixon was sort of that way, and Goldwater is an excellent example of a man with ability.

    You make a good point, I guess if one cannot be charming in front of a camera then they must be evil.

    That was a big problem in the '60 election. Nixon lost the TV debates - but those who only listened on radio - said he won!

    As a person who's father worked for Roots (and then Halliburton) I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on this one.

    I hate this man with a passion.

    With that said, I don't wish ill will on him. Speedy recovery.

    I'm sure there are a lot of CEO's, Presidents, COO's, etc...that make promises to people and then don't follow through with them. I'm sure thereare a lot of those same people who flat out lie to people. It happens.

    It hits home personally here because he is the one who did those things while my father was employed by Halliburton. And while it's obviously not his fault directly that my father died, it was his fault and results of his actions that caused my family to have to move from Indiana to Texas when I was in college, when my dad then got sick and passed away and I wasn't able to be with him.

    So I don't hold Dick Cheney in high regard. He lied to and misled a lot of people during his days at Halliburton. Not to mention all the stuff the media brought forth of his time at Halliburton. But it is what it is. I may not like him, but I don't want to see him die or anything.

    Hate?

    Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

    If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
