Mother's Day slaying blamed on cheap gift

    Just a guess--but based on his postings in other threads, I'd say he's referring to "insanity".

    More likely PTSD since insanity is a tough sell in Texas and in Texas women are held at a much different standard then men.

    Being as the article only reported that she killed the man and gave absolutely no reason why she did it, we have no idea what the defense will present.

    The retort about the "cheap gift" was a remark by her mother-in-law who was not there and did not witness the crime.

    I see nothing reported by an investigation as to why she murdered this man.

    You said that the defense was going to probably provide a PTSD defense? Based on what? There is nothing in the article as to why she committed this crime except an unfounded remark from the mother-in-law which is why the whole article was presented in the first place. If the mother-in-law is confident of the daughter-in-law's proclivity to violence and rage over not getting expensive gifts from people, then why did she take her son to Wal-Mart for a gift and then drop him off at her house.

    We don't know enough about this tragedy to make assertions about the defense's tactics.
