Here in the northern part of Wisconsin, we saw 101f yesterday and 102f this afternoon. It's not uncommon to go all summer and not see 90f, and it's been a few years since we've touched 100f.

    It's too hot.:tongue3:

1980 was the hottest I remember. I had to look this up in Wikipedia.

Many of those daily records still stand today. Records also indicate that over 1250 people died as a result of the high temperatures.

It got up to 96 degrees here in North Florida. And the humidity..... I love Florida, but the heat can be a real drag. I'm here in my air conditioned home at midnight and I'm sweating.

Here is West Kentucky, it was 109 last week, and 106 yesterday. These kind of numbers are unheard of. The humidity has been around 20%, which is also rare for here.

This reminds me of being on a ship. We could be down in the engine room at 130 at times, and go up on deck at 95 outside, and actually get chilled. Amazing stuff.

My son lives in Madison WS because he got a job with EPIC after college. Anyway, he said there have been many days there of over 100. We visit him and his wife all times of the year except the December-February time frame. Once, we went up there Thanksgiving and it was already snowing the three below. Madison is about 8 hours north of us in West KY.

That kind of heat is oppressive. One can only get so acclimated.

We're a few hours NE of Madison. Snow on Thanksgiving is almost the norm.

Here in the Pacific NW (West of the Cascade Mountains) I dont think we have even hit 80 degrees Farenheit yet this year (maybe once or twice).

    Global cooling here.

    You're telling me!

Today we were out at a range firing our M4s. We had to be in full kit (for those of you who don't know what full kit is, it's an 8lb weapon, 35lb body armor, about 10lbs of ammo, plus a helmet, water, and any pack you have). Luckily we started around 0700, and were done before lunch. So we missed most of the heat. Then, after the heat, we had a connex layout at 1600. Fun stuff.

East of there. Close enough for a day trip to Minocqua. Or Marquette, MI. Or Door County. Or Green Bay. Or Escanaba, MI. Or Madison.

    Specific enough?

My wife drove up to Bowling Green, Ky. last week to spend time with her family, I think she said it was a 105 one day and 107 on another. Down here it has not got over about 93 yet.

96 here in NE Ohio. Today's record of 97 is in jeopardy. That's pretty high considering right on the shore of Lake Erie.

Yeah, and now I realize that NE of Madison is not the direction of Spooner. My bad.
