Christian Leaders Blast GOP Tax Bill

    It is wrong for the GOP to slash these tax credits for the poor. Hopefully it is only a negotiating tactic. If it is, it is quite cynical.

    The EITC is simply welfare.

    Eliminate it and make the payments need based - not just a blanket distribution of taxpayer money.

    Isn't the tax break based on income, number of children, etc? Therefore, isn't the needs testing built-in?
