Military Votes Lost in Transit?

Should Military Votes Be Counted Irregardless of Cut Off Dates?

  • Most defintiely....

    Votes: 5 62.5%
  • No, the law must apply to everyone, including those fighting for our freedom....

    Votes: 1 12.5%
  • These votes should be counted, even if they don't make a difference...

    Votes: 3 37.5%
  • No opinion....

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • This is absurd, and wreaks of conspiracy...

    Votes: 1 12.5%
  • This is another Republican attempt to cry, "Not fair!"

    Votes: 2 25.0%

  • Total voters
    8

The attached article from the military newspaper The Duffel Blog is interesting, and if it is true, it is something that the Congress and Senate should look into and consider changing in the future, if not now, when it comes to soldiers voting and the time limits to get their votes in to be counted.

SEE: http://www.duffelblog.com/2012/11/m...ay-late-would-have-swung-election-for-romney/

Would those hundred of thousands of votes made a difference? Probably not, but they should still be counted.

No doubt they should be counted. Keep in mind the attempt to disenfranchise our troops is not a new ploy of liberals.

Thanks for the feedback...

I am leary of Snopes, and I used to use them all the time. However, I never said those votes would have swung for Romney, just that they should be counted, regardless of the date on the mail. These folks are fighting for our freedom, and they should not be disenfranchised because of an error [or was it an error?].

If you don't trust snopes here is what the source of the info says about itself

The Duffel Blog serves the men and women of the US Military with a daily dose of military humor, funny military pictures, and faux news. We take an interesting and funny look at military life. We focus on veterans, military stories, defense, politics (sometimes) and life on base — with a comedic twist. We are in no way, shape, or form, a real news outlet. Just about everything on this website is satirical in nature.

Still....

...regardless of what Snopes says, or the real mission of Duffel Blog, if this is true, Obama would gain a lot of support if he wrote an Executive Order and made sure these votes were counted. He has nothing to lose, and everything to gain, including my respect [as a vet]. :type:

Thanks for your feedback C4K....:applause:

Whether or not this report is true......IMHO what "they" might ought to consider doing is to wait until ALL the votes from our deployed troops are first counted, and THEN (only AFTER ALL their votes are counted) count the rest of our votes!!

(Fat chance of THAT ever being made into a law though!! :tear: :tear: )
