    President Barack Obama’s got a whole new take on corporate cash.

    The inaugural committee says its decision to accept unlimited corporate money is only a reflection of how drained donors are following the pricey reelection campaign.

    But coming right in the midst of negotiations over the fiscal cliff, the decision means Obama will start his second term with a significant symbolic reversal — four years ago, the corporate money ban was supposed to signal what his committee called a “commitment to change business as usual in Washington.” It opens him to charges that he’s changed — and not for the better.

    “Shocked,” wrote one Democratic lobbyist in an email about the flip-flop on corporate donations.

    “Here is this guy that came to Washington and said, ‘I’m going to come and change the way Washington works. I’m going to bring a new, basically, working class to Washington,’” said a GOP fundraiser who has worked on inaugurations. “‘But now that I’m reelected, and I have nothing to worry about in the future besides possibly my library, that quote-unquote moral compass doesn’t exist.’”

    Personally, I'm glad. It will be less cost to the tax payers (and the Lord knows the taxpayers will be picking up a hefty tab for the vaca in Hawaii!!).

    Maybe MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, the NY Times, etc., can chip in too since they are so in love with the guy.

    That was my thought also. Less tax money being spent. Good thing.

    Of course there are those who will criticize him if he praises baseball and apple pie.

    Just like I do for anyone who uses "the little children" and then supports abortion. And/or uses part of the proceeds for same to improve their personal standard of living. (lavish lifestyle when compared to the average Joe)

    It is a good thing that less tax dollars (maybe) are being spent. It's another when dollars for favors are exchanged. Wonder, for example, how much will GE contribute? Followed by more push for green energy mandates?

    Born again believers drop coins in the church collection plate, freely given from their hearts, without strings attached. Can we say that about offerings dropped into the political machine collection plates?

    Use an example to make a point and it's off topic. And you're not off topic by mentioning the party that won't be sworn in?

    BTW, I don't give a rat's tail (to quote a pastor who uses that expression from time to time) which party is involved. Hold all people accountable when they say one thing and do another.
