OKLAHOMA CITY (BP) -- Arts and crafts store Hobby Lobby apparently is willing to defy the federal government and face huge fines for not covering abortion-inducing drugs following a string of court losses in December.

Hobby Lobby's setbacks in court at the end of the year gained significant media attention, despite the fact that for-profit businesses like the Oklahoma-based business continue to rack up court victories against the mandate. According to a tally by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, nine for-profit businesses -- including three in late December -- have won injunctions in courts protecting them from the mandate. Only three for-profit businesses -- Hobby Lobby among them -- have failed to obtain an injunction.

Hobby Lobby is the largest business to file suit against the mandate. Its new health care plan went into effect Jan. 1.

I would expect more lawsuits to follow by many businesses.

Does anyone know why Hobby Lobby was told no when Domino's was given a pass?

Yep. And that's why we'll have many more lawsuits coming.

If we don't stand as they come for Hobby Lobby, will there be anyone to stand when they come for us?

Anyone know how we can help them? Donate to their defense?

Hobby Lobby. I get some of my stamp collecting supplies and all my sketch books from them. I can find what I want cheaper, but I'd rather support them.

Ever notice the music that they pipe through their stores?

Closest one is approximately 3+ hours round trip. (sigh) While recovering from an injury, doubt that I can ride in a vehicle for that length of time.

I know I can order on line or by phone, but that just doesn't have the impact as physically standing in one of their stores on Saturday morning. But, doing something is better than doing nothing!

This thread's title is misleading and wrong. There is NO abortion mandate. The Plan B pill is not an abortion pill.

Liberals....so tolerant as long as you agree with them. Your nothing but hypocrites.

What does the morning after pill, and the week after pill, do if it doesn't stop a pregnancy?

Of course, this can all be explained away if you redefine life.

Preventing pregnancy (contraception) is not terminating pregnancy (abortion).

You can claim all the fallacies you want it doesn't matter to me.

The reality is that a sperm joins an egg and creates a full dna strand of a living human being. Any medication that stops that process is abortion.

Go ahead and redefine things as you want that does not change the reality of what is happening to our unborn children in order to not "punish" (as Obama puts it) women.

No redefinitions. I use standard English ones. You also realize that approximately half of all fertilized ova never implant and are expelled from the woman's body naturally.

Natural is natural. Murder is murder. That's pretty straight forward English for ya.

    AMEN!

Life begins at the moment of conception. God may deem for His purposes that a life may not continue for very long before or after birth. That is His will. Man's birth control measures, taking effect after the moment of conception, is murder.

So you accuse God of being the world's most prolific abortionist? I say you tread on thin ice. Better watch out for lightning bolts.

All life is God's. It's His to give and take away, and He is righteous to do so for any reason.

But that's beside the point. The issue is government encroaching upon religious liberty and free enterprise, and your lie concerning the pill.

We went this morning and bought a few things we needed that we could have gotten elsewhere likely cheaper but it was worth a few cents more.
