Not really, although it is centered around promotion of Hispanic business ventures. I think my firm is a member of this organization (we are not a minority firm nor am I Hispanic) because we do quite a bit of business in the Greater Houston area.
By the way, Hispanics are the largest ethnic group in Texas.

SW, I think the point may be that if there were an organization dedicated to supporting "white or caucasian" business interests etc. it would be quickly lambasted as pure racist.

Exactly, what would be the difference in the "New Minority" Caucasian Chamber of Commerce? Anything wrong to promote the minority eather in such a manner? No protest? That would not be raciest? Do caucasians "the New Minority" here in Texas take a "back set" as it were and be quiet because the color of our skin?

As part of our strategic plan the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) strives to increase the number of Hispanics on boards and executive positions throughout the Houston area. So promoting based on color of skin is ok? Right.
If people do it voluntarily - thats fine!
and as long as they are consistent about it.
If a group has their own Chamber of Commerce- or any other type of organization - then they should not complain if another group does likewise - whether it is caucasian, KKK, Christian, (fill in the blank), ect

Most Certainly....why is any town or cities Chamber of Commerce configuring their resources around one ethnic group vs a diverse group?
Yea....the greater metro area KKK CoC meeting, in the evening. Bring your hood, we are lighting up crosses!
Apples and Oranges! Jesus wants us to lift Him up and that includes all races! If we got to the truth of it there is only one race...the Human Race! What I see groups like this and Jesse Jackson and the like are paving the way for groups like the GLAD to cry discrimination.
