Yeah...I don't think we need to be watching this to know that there will indeed some smoke ascending from there someday soon..... and it won't be from JUST the chimney.

That is great. God can rest now, there is someone to lead his flock.

As an expression of goodwill between Baptists and Catholics, I want to present the new Pope this hat for his new costume.

I could care less who or when a new Pope is named. Unless allwoing us to know who to pray for true salvation. I read today where Rick Warren is tweeting about praying for a new Pope, why Rick, so we can join them in apostacy?

Do not get me wrong, I believe there are saved Catholics, and plenty of Baptists that are going to split wide open. However, Catholics are saved despite the magic acts and false gospel they peddle. As Baptists, we are without excuse. We are fed sound doctrine every Sunday and Wednesday.

Yes, I agree but should Baptists follow America's pastor Rick Warren in praying and fasting for a new pope? Also if a Catholic is truly saved would they stay in the RCC? The only logical reason would be to evangelize, IMO. I wonder what Rick Warrens reason is?

Think the RCC had their chance of really being a "christian church", but refused to do that, it was called the Great reformation!

I wouldn't say that. Depends on the church.

I think I've figured out their system!!

....black smoke, no pope yet, .......white smoke, a pope has been selected,
.....grey smoke...they're just burning evidence. :tongue3:

As a tribute to Pope John Paul, I think the newest pope should take the name Pope George Ringo.

It would have been more amusing if they did the old SNL / Fr. Guido Sarducci skit---'Finda da Pope In a da pizzia' -- that I would have enjoyed!!!!
