Members of a U.S. House committee approved a congressional bill that would ban abortions nationwide at 20 weeks of pregnancy.

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, chaired by bill author Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, held a markup on H.R. 1797. During the committee meeting, Franks amended his bill, the “D.C. Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” (H.R. 1797) to apply nationwide. With this change, the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” will be a national prohibition on abortions of unborn children who can feel pain during the abortion process.

So the standard for whether or not to murder a child now is whether or not the child can feel pain when you're doing it?

So if somebody knocks a member of Congress unconscious, is it then okay to end their lives as long as they can't feel it?

How about people who are paralyzed? Is it okay to kill them too?

If the guy has testified that babies can feel pain at 81/2 weeks and possibly earlier, why set a 20 week ceiling?

I doubt this will go through. NY state is actually trying to make late term abortions legal. :(

And again we all know Republicans don't ever try to do anything about abortion they just use it as an issue.
