This story continues to get worse and worse.

When I heard that the body of Osama bin Laden had been “buried at sea” and that we would never see the body I immediately thought that there was a cover up involved. I said that day to watch out that some training accident would take out all of the witnesses.

I felt even worse when Seal Team 6 lost 22 members when this helicopter was shot down 3 months later.

Now we learn that all 22 of the Seals were cremated because their bodies were badly burned.

I’m sorry, how can you help but think this is part of a government cover up?

Oh, but a congressional probe will get to the bottom of it. Sure they will.

Congress to probe lethal crash that killed SEAL Team 6 members

That, and the SEALS killed in Benghazi, the shooting of Chris Kyle, the public ridicule of the author of details about SEAL Team 6 missions, all came from the White House after the SEALS public ridiculed the Obama administration about taking credit for the work THEY did, and the continued flack he has received from SOS (Special Operations Speaks).

Yes, something is off about the chess players behind the government and the teams.

Who knows? That Osama had been dead for years and they just finally decided to call it? That Osama entered the witness protection program, got a shave and a nose job and now runs a convenience store in California? I know after years of being our nations #1 enemy we deserved a more fitting end.

If I had been president (I know that's a big if), I would have put his severed head on a pike in the white house lawn so everyone could get a good long look at it. Then I would have mixed the rest of his remains with pig lard and creamated him in a big bonfire. I would have sent vials of his ashes to the leaders of every nation in the world and explain that this is what happens when you oppose the United States of America. But hey, who would vote for a guy like me?

What is the government covering up? The fact that the government is no longer bound by any laws or checks on it's power and is therefore totally illigitimate?

And? What is anyone going to do about it?

    Nothing.

Tons of corruption goes on and affects families and American citizens every day and people deny it, don't want to admit it, or don't care, at least not enough to do anything. How many people on here would have the nerve to stand up again even one corrupt, minor player police officer in their own city? Hardly any, and those that would consider it would sit there and weigh what could happen to themselves or their families if they did and if the cost was too high, they'd not consider it worth it.

    Fear is too powerful.

We live in fear of our government.

So no. Nobody will do anything. They will pretend to be placated with the appearance of an investigation. They will choose a side, and most will choose the "correct" side that doesn't make them appear to be conspiracy theorists, and collectively poke at the minority that doesn't agree with them. The majority will be happy doing that, the minority will be busy defending themselves, everyone will feel better about themselves, and the issue will escape until everyone's attention is drawn to the next issue.

So just sit back and enjoy the show. Don't get all worked up over it, that's no fun and it's way too stressful. You can't change anything, right? I mean, you're just one person and what exactly would one or even a hundred, even a thousand be able to do in order to change an entire government? That's too radical. It would have to be really bad for anyone to actually do anything and decide it needs to be changed, and I think everyone here would agree that this is the best nation ever and it doesn't need changed. It's great. Look at what other places have to deal with. So that means there's nothing that needs to be done. If it's not bad enough to change, you have to accept what it is right now. There's always going to be a level of stuff you don't like with that. It can't be perfect and work. Duh. We're all human. You have to overlook some stuff.

thank you, Gina. some of what you said reflects my own sentiments.
    yeah.
    so ?
what are we going to do about it ?
what is anyone willing to do about it ?
    nothing. nada. zilch. poof.

so if we don't even know what exactly the government is covering up, we are nothing more than rumor mongers, and the Bible has a lot to say about rumor mongers.

Yes Don, that quote is from Odd.

No, Gina, I do not have to "Overlook some stuff."

What level of corruption is acceptable to you? Is it ok as long as they agree with you on other issues. Is it ok if your boss is stealing from your company as long as he gets you a nice raise every year.

No, overlooking it is not different than being a part of it. I may not ever accomplish anything, but I will not be silent.

Can you imagine what our brave men who serve in SpecOps units are now thinking?

Okay, good starting point. You won't be silent. You'll speak.
    To who? How?
If what is being hinted at is true, it is a very major, difficult problem to tackle. It bothers you. You want to do something. You are armed with your voice. How do you use your voice to successfully get something done about this issue?

I am asking because I do not see anything on here that is a call to action or a suggestion of steps to take to correct anything. I do not see a list of facts and people saying "Look at this. It is a problem, so let's think of possible solutions."

If one chooses to not stay silent on an issue such as this, there should be a firm reason behind your voice and a plan of action that leads somewhere, if only to an elusive goal. If there is no point, no plan, no goal, then it becomes dangerous grumbling. That kind of behavior leads to discontent in nations and disorganized, unsettled people instead of unity, and in history, that is always when a nation becomes most vulnerable, isn't it?

You asked me how much corruption is acceptable to me. None. Right now, I am not ready, willing, or capable of standing against it in an effective manner. I have thought about things I have seen and heard, have stood against, have spoken against, and have paid a pretty heavy price for after doing so. For now, I'm silent on the main issues of corruption that bother me. I think for each of us there is a time to speak, a time to be silent. Maybe my time to speak will come again. Who knows. It sounds easy to say you'll speak and not be silent. It's a lot tougher to actually do it from a place in your life where you'll be vulnerable and have to deal with the consequences.

    I Know the Truth....

....but, I hope the NSA isn't reading this, because we could all be in serious danger! :tonofbricks:

Here's what I know....everyone involved in these missions or at Benghazi are being held at Area 51 to keep the truth from being revealed.

Now don't tell anyone else, or the men in black will come to your home or place of work or worship and take you to Area 51, too!

Honestly, the whole thing smells like a boatload of sardines, sitting in 120 degree weather for a year or more.

We may never find out what is going on, but the secret word is "Clandestine!" If you say the secret word while we are discussing this issue, Groucho Marx [most of you remember him? Little man, very funny, Hitler like mustachekind of bald, brother of Harpo Marx who honked horns because he was deaf?] will give you a hundred dollar bill!
